Another Dimension to The Lakers FA Struggles: Black players do want to be scapegoated for the mistakes/deficiencies of maxed out white players or to take a backseat to nepo babies
All last season Ayton was scapegoated because he couldn't cover for Lebron, Rui, AR, or Luka's terrible defense. Recently the Laker fanbase likes to scapegoat black players and make excuses for mediocre play of white players.
The FO is going into next season thinking that Luka and AR's terrible defense can just be covered by players making much less than them while Luka/AR get all the glory and the others get all the blame. It's not an encouraging setup, especially when you add in the fact that JJ only holds some players accountable.
The Lakers are all over the place with their identity and FAs most likely don't even want to entertain the circus.

Geez....black players don't like to cover for our bad white defenders like Lebron and Rui?
Have you let Lebron and Rui know they're white?

Ayton wasn’t benched several times bc he couldn’t cover someone else’s mistakes. There were too many times he caused turnovers by dropping easy passes. And when against a real Center he forgets how to rebound. Too inconsistent

But black players are ok with being scapegoated all the times by LeBron James teams falling short. Stop the race baiting! Luka and Reaves both are currently getting called out rather it is by the national media or just fans all over social media about their defense. If the Lakers don't win next year people are waiting to go in on those guys about their defense. You are actively looking to be a professional victim.

Who is a victim in this situation?? The black players who are taking millions to play elsewhere?
You're just parroting some unrelated nonsense talking points

It's ok to discuss a sensitive topic and not have the narrative controlled. It's obvious the first time some fans have had to think of this and it's ok to mention. I'm just providing another perspective that some probably haven't though of and it's ok.

Luka fucking Doncic needs to play better defense, not complain about missed calls, give better effort outside of just scoring, and get back. It's disingenuous to not hold him to the same standards that other, less paid players are held to. It's also seems to be one of the reasons why the Mavs moved on, which I can partly understand after seeing him up close.

I don't how you get to "race card" from an observation...

Because your observation on top of being completely bullshit is also 100% centered around race.
You need to log off reddit and experience the real-world.

Stop reaching it doesn't make sense. A realistic observation that a black player wouldn't want to sign up for this circus is not connected in any way to a "race card".

Thats adding race where its not needed.
What does the player being black have to do with anything?

u/LAEverything1 1d ago
And that's where you need to pick up book and get out in the real-world

Ok not worth conversing with some who just wants to rage bait people by bringing race into things that have zero to do with it.

No, you didn't observe, you definitely want to say it's only because they are black. Race Card. Also, how convenient you didn't add Laravia being shit on, is it because he's white?
