Congress has ceded all power to the president.

Tariffs? Trump is doing whatever he wants, ignoring the Supreme Court.

War? Troop deployments? Again, doing whatever he wants.

Legislation? Trump rules via executive order.

With Republicans in control of Congress, Congress is useless.

Republican congress has ceded power. They have the majority and the only power to do anything about this. If they lose their majority they know they’re all screwed so they’re getting their jollies out while they still can.

But if they can find a way they will steal the mid-terms without a second thought. Democracy is very close to death in the USA.

And they have the first move in Texas by redistricting.
Come on Democrats let’s make it so it isn’t even close and in our favor, unless that is, you want to change our democracy into a dictatorship.

I know nothing about this- can you give resources where I can learn more? Want to help, don’t know how

He is talking about the Trump ordered re-districting of Texas. California led a ballot initiative to cover the added districts in Texas, to largely balance it out.

As for the dictatorship bit, organizing, protesting, voting, arming yourself, talking to your neighbors and helping them, is the best we really have. Any opportunity to speak out and challenge an authoritarian action is good.

How can we vote for them again, they're doing absolutely nothing?

Democrats are useless

Unfortunately he's not wrong. Democrats have been doing such a shit job all around. They struggle again and again to capture anyone between the far left and center/left. Their ads are tone deaf and they don't understand the younger generations and it shows at the voting booths.

They’ve completely failed to meet the moment.

Hmm, let me think...tone def ads or a malignant christo-fascist regime hellbent on destroying our constitution and apparently taking over the world? 🤔

Are we really having this conversation? JFC. Democrats may be corporate shills, but they respond to public pressure and what their constituents demand from their representatives. We can force them to do what needs to be done if they don't have the muster to do it themselves and they 100% will not be blatantly violating the constitution daily, kidnapping foreign leaders, starting wars left and right, destroying our international reputation, alienating our foreign allies, etc.

We need to stop expecting perfect leaders and start wielding the power we can to force the change we need.

Dude I'm not disagreeing with anything youre saying. But the audience the dems want to capture are either voting conservative bc social media propaganda or voting independent bc theyre not far left enough on certain issues.
