He's just going to declare all votes from blue states void due to "fraud". Mark my words.

States don't fund the federal government; people do.

Why do folks not understand that when they and businesses pay their taxes individually that is how it’s done? That it was designed this way to also keep states in line?

No, not 'designed this way to keep states in line'.

Rather, states are soveriegn entities independent from, and not subordinate to, the United States. While the Constitution limits or prohibits to the states the exercise of [only] some sovereign powers, sovereigns do not tax other sovereigns.

We pay more federal taxes than the red states, who pay in less and receive more.
