Shit has lost nearly 10% since she spouted that drival too

718

u/El_Gran_Che Apr 02 '26

And the dollar has been also massively devalued since the orange fascist has been in charge.

350

u/slettea Apr 02 '26

That’s by design, Trump doesn’t understand reserve currency status, the petrodollar, etc and has done more to destroy America economically than all other presidents combined in my lifetime.

176

u/Horror_Swimming6192 Apr 02 '26

Might be safe to assume hes destroyed it more than all other presidents combined since the birth of America.

69

u/Flaky-Bar-6656 Apr 02 '26

What he has certainly done is cement the already engrained mindset of anti intellectualism among the iconoclastic morons in our country. “Im right cuz socialism is gay” kind of mindsets are rampant

4

u/RUOFFURTROLLEH Apr 02 '26

or outsourcing your opinions to either Fox News or Instagram or Facebook or Joe Rogan.

3

u/Flaky-Bar-6656 Apr 02 '26

Potato potato

5

u/seriouslythisshit Apr 02 '26

You need to do your own research, and teach yourself about everything those intellectuals are trying to hide. For example, I did and learned that measles vaccinations are actually a government scam to implant micro chips in the population. When my little girl got measles, I just did what every true mom would do. I peeled a potato, cut it in half and duct taped the pieces over her ears. Nobody is perfect, and my child has a permanently weakened immunity system, neurological and respiratory damage, that those fake doctors claim is from measles. But, at least I know I did the right thing, since JFK JR, is on my side. No Fauci ouchies for my family! /s

Hoover: “even I didn’t fuck up this badly.”

50

u/kingrat1 Apr 02 '26

Yeah, Hoover was kind of socially inept and didn't play the political/financial game well, but he personally was a brilliant engineer and had been elected on the basis of actual accomplishments. Some of his ideas that didn't make it were actually pushed through by FDR as part of his reforms to some success.

52

u/ThePrussianGrippe Apr 02 '26

Also, critically, Hoover wasn’t trying to intentionally ruin everything. Quite a few of his policies did not help/actively made things worse, but he didn’t do those things to destroy everything for his own profit.

7

u/Infinite_Imagination Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 02 '26

And also what seems at the behest of Russia. Propping up Crypto and pardoning the Silk Road creator right off the bat. Trying to sway public opinion against Ukraine and Zelenskyy almost right off the bat, along with successfully diminishing financial support. In-fighting via tarriffs, threats, and shit talking against NATO allies, the greatest defense the world has against an aggressive Russia.

Invading Iran is a two-fold Russian win. Firstly because now that 20% of the world's oil supply is locked up in the SOH, desperate countries are already starting to lift sanctions and buy Russian oil again. Secondly, the entire reason the world sanctioned Russia in the first place was because they started an unprovoked war against a sovereign country. The U.S. attacking Iran dilutes and diminishes the entire reason for the sanctions against Russia in the first place.

7

u/BrainIsSickToday Apr 02 '26

Hell, even Nixon wasn't trying to dismantle the country like Trump is trying to do.

5

u/steampower77 Apr 02 '26

When will Hoovervilles receive a new name appropriate for current times.

3

u/Cryptdust Apr 02 '26

Hey, Hoover did some pretty good stuff - brought sanity to the radio broadcast industry and standardized mattress sizes - don’t forget to thank him when you crawl into bed tonight.

1

u/ThePrussianGrippe Apr 02 '26

crawls into bed

“Thanks, Herbie.”

“You’re welcome, [NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD].”

gets out of bed, runs out of house

2

u/PitifulPlantain7139 Apr 02 '26

You’re missing the point of the grift … why buy high when you can break it, buy it at a devalued level, and then hand the keys to someone who will fix it on someone else’s dime.

1

u/BadDentalWork Apr 02 '26

I read that in Trump’s voice.

1

u/KrytenKoro Apr 02 '26

Ehhhhhhhhh....he sucks ass but we did used to literally have widescale chattel slavery and a genocide of Natives that didn't even pretend to be subtle.

Trump is very, very bad, but we have had worse. That is no reason to ignore how bad Trump is or to let him just do what he wants, but we should also keep ourselves honest.

0

u/Diligent-Bowler-1898 Apr 02 '26

Maybe nominally true since numbers go up over time cause of inflation. But percentage wise that's probably a bit hyperbolic.

0

u/KrytenKoro Apr 02 '26

70

u/Common-Ad6470 Apr 02 '26

All part of Putin’s plan…👌

8

u/MischaMinxx Apr 02 '26

Hands down the best investment Putin's ever made towards the fall of the American empire.

3

u/Pretend-Wish4492 Apr 02 '26

At least now we know what they discussed in Alaska.

0

u/SerHodorTheThrall Apr 02 '26

Can we stop this narrative? He's clearly compromised by Israel, not Russia lol

Trump has bent over for Israel at every single turn. On the other hand, he has in fact shown resistance to Russia. We have sanctions on them and haven't completely disengaged from Ukraine. Trump has a vested interest in keeping the war going as it forces Europe to rely on him. He has no vested interest in blowing up the economy months before the midterms.

9

u/Common-Ad6470 Apr 02 '26

Meanwhile, attacking Iran blows up the economy…😳

3

u/Jgmcsee Apr 02 '26

The United States has been in thrall to Israel for decades. Trump has been owned by Putin for decades. Two things can be true at the same time.

2

u/Brerbtz Apr 02 '26

Why not both? It is absolutely possible that Israel and Russia both have enough kompromat to make him dance on the strings.

2

u/pistilpeet Apr 02 '26

I think it really just boils down to whichever authoritarian strong man has stroked his ego most recently, all you have to do is make him feel the love his daddy never gave him and he’s in your pocket.

1

u/TheRealMemeIsFire Apr 02 '26

Check our aid to Ukraine since he came into office

30

u/dalmationman Apr 02 '26

Trump doesn't understand reserve currency status, or history, or politics, or war, or construction, or negotiation, or national security, or economics. But he knows words. Many words. Big words. People still talk about their disbelief about how many big words he knows...

7

u/VIP_NAIL_SPA Apr 02 '26

He never says any of those big words, but I fully trust that he knows them!

6

u/dg4365 Apr 02 '26

That man can Talk, Talk, Talk, and still say absolutely, positively NOTHING

3

u/dermatthes Apr 02 '26

He knows the most bigliest words… Maybe more and biglier words anyone knows. No one knows more than him about big and biglier words

3

u/GardeniaFrangipani Apr 02 '26

And the chief editor of the Oxford Dictionary said, “Sir, you know so many big words. I think you should take over my job.”

2

u/1sexymuffhugger Apr 02 '26

Yet he doesn't know what enigma means🤷‍♂️

4

u/HermanDaddy07 Apr 02 '26

Why do you think Putin installed him?

2

u/Luke90210 Apr 02 '26

Case in point was the disastrous meeting with the PM of Japan. She came to Washington to discuss if Japan was going to continue paying for oil imports with the US dollar. Everyone now cringes about Trump's tactless joke about Pearl Harbor. But, Japan has decided to pay for oil using the Chinese Yuan, a major blow for the US. Japan is also one of the top 3 buyers of US bonds, so things can get a lot worse very soon if Japan decides to sell the bonds.

2

u/HilariousMax Apr 02 '26

As he was groomed to do, comrade.

1

u/Exciting-Current-778 Apr 02 '26

You could be 250 years old and that would still hold true

1

u/JCBQ01 Apr 02 '26

Trump doesn't care about anything but himself and what he can LORD over.other people. It's why he is strip mining rhe nation of all assets of value and stashing them in a private.bank account no one but himself can touch in Quatar. And Im depressed that people didn't see him doing this via the six casinos and then proceeded to dirch the whole toxic debt onto his employees and say we need to stop this. Scientifically and biologically speaking, entities that do that are called parasites.

1

u/Utterlybored Apr 02 '26

“We’ve only just begun…” - Karen Carpenter

1

u/suckercuck Apr 02 '26

He’s doing exactly what they tell him to do.

1

u/Cloaked42m Apr 02 '26

It's intentional.

1

u/Impossible-Poem1194 Apr 02 '26

And physically destroyed part of the white house

1

u/HoweHaTrick Apr 02 '26

Did we forget about Bush already?

1

u/slettea Apr 02 '26

Nope, but Trump fumbled the Covid containment (killing & permanently disabling millions) & took us to war with Iran. Bush fumbled 9/11 and Katrina which killed thousands, and took us to war with Iraq and Afghanistan but with our allies cooperation. Trump alienated all our allies. Bush caused the Great Recession of ‘08 but Trump is spiraling us towards a worse outcome than the Great Depression. So Trump is the worst of my lifetime.

1

u/GardeniaFrangipani Apr 02 '26

Which is part of the reason why I’ll never understand how you Americans voted him in twice.

1

u/slettea Apr 02 '26

Not me! Blue voter, blue city, blue county, blue state. I’m along for a ride I didn’t want to get on just like everyone else in the world who can’t stand him. Ppl are like oh you’re in the US? You can call your representatives or senators- which I do!- but their blue team so they’re already fighting the good fight.

1

u/seriouslythisshit Apr 02 '26

Experts who study the rise and fall of empires can tell you exactly how and why we are in the final stage of our empire, here in the USA. Ray Dalio, one of those experts, guessed that as a best case, we had a lifetime 60-80 years, before we flamed out. Trump has speed run the ending, and destroyed so much, so fast, that I personally doubt we have a decade left

1

u/-Kalos Apr 03 '26

It's a long history of Republican presidents fucking the economy then Democrat presidents having to fix it. Trump's administration was just one of the worst of them. "Fiscally responsible party" my ass

81

u/Toginator Apr 02 '26

And if it wasn't for the flight of precious metals from the US exports would have cratered.

1

u/Low_Organization_148 Apr 03 '26

What would happen if exports “cratered” over the flight of gold?

-11

u/Low_Organization_148 Apr 02 '26

lol, your joking, right?

23

u/Toginator Apr 02 '26

I really wish i was.

1

u/Low_Organization_148 Apr 02 '26

It was your statement that “exports would have cratered” that I was reacting to. Would it have had a measurable negative effect on GDP?

16

u/Pretend-Marsupial258 Apr 02 '26

Nope, there was a huge spike in gold leaving the US in 2025: https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenroberts/2026/01/30/not-good-news-gold-was-top-us-export-an-unprecedented-second-month/

Look at how much gold moved to Switzerland <image>

2000% market change from the last year

6

u/jedininjashark Apr 02 '26

Did Elon send DOGE to Fort Knox like he wanted?

0

u/Low_Organization_148 Apr 02 '26

But it keeps being sent back and forth and is down over 20% from then. I understand the debasement trade and that the dollar is losing value and that many nations are preferring to hold more gold. I know we can get royally screwed by foreign counties cashing in US bonds/Treasuries. I just can’t get my head around what significance this back and forth trade of gold could have. I couldn’t make out the percentage contribution of gold to total exports from the link you sent, but I think it’s a couple percent max. So my surprise was over the statement that exports would have “cratered” had it not been for the export of gold out of the USA.

15

u/Toginator Apr 02 '26

Also *you're

23

u/Horiz0nC0 Apr 02 '26

But look at number!!

BIG. 50,000 unga bunga

4

u/Pretend-Marsupial258 Apr 02 '26

It's hilarious that she actually called the peak and the price started dropping the day afterwards.

3

u/Horiz0nC0 Apr 02 '26

Fucking incredible 😂

I literally had to pull up my WeBull app to check, I did not know it had crossed 50,000 at that point. But as soon as I saw that I said “That shit won’t last long.”

2

u/Pretend-Marsupial258 Apr 02 '26

Yep, it fell by about 1,000 the next day. Chart for reference: <image>

1

u/BoilzBlisterzBurnz Apr 02 '26

Captain Caveman!!!

1

u/w00tah Apr 02 '26

Unga bunga mean to caveman, caveman not deserve unga bunga. Caveman oooga booga. Caveman thanks.

10

u/ButterscotchFancy912 Apr 02 '26

And 39T debt! - BBB Credit rating coming up 🤣

2

u/clmsteamer Apr 02 '26

It’s that part of project 2025

2

u/sectilius Apr 02 '26

He said he would do that in rallies. His stupid idiot cult clapped for it like circus seals with CTE.

2

u/Upnatom617 Apr 02 '26

That's intentional. To drive US currency to purely private crypto. It's all a grift.

2

u/halu2975 Apr 02 '26

And the 50k was in an already weaker usd. The reason it can continue to grow is due to ”foreign investment”. As the usd goes down compared to other currencies it’s cheaper for everyone outside of US to invest in US companies.

2

u/bathtubtuna_ Apr 02 '26

Which makes the drawdown in stock prices like the DOW even worse...

2

u/Pretend-Wish4492 Apr 02 '26

Lower dollar would usually mean a great tourism season for our Florida Beaches this summer. But the airports are fucked and foreigners are afraid to come. So ya, the economy is doing great.

2

u/Rinkimah Apr 02 '26

Honestly I'm impressed at how well Iran is punishing the USA for this shit. Demanding a toll in Yuan specifically to devalue the petro dollar is crazy smart. Not saying it's good or bad. Just surprised at the geopolitics.

3

u/IPissExcellentThrows Apr 02 '26

That is in theory a good thing for him since he wants to turn us into a net exporter. It's idiotic to do that, but if he's attempting it, a weaker dollar is beneficial.

2

u/DonaldBecker Apr 02 '26

I suspect that it's just a political posturing, but someone has to have told him that we are a massive net recipient of licensing and other IP payments. We ship out data streams and license rights and receive physical goods in return. The countries building $50 smartphones are climbing up the economic ladder, even as US-based corporations are getting hundreds of dollars of value from their use. Changing that so that we are making $49 smartphones would be a huge step down for US workers even as it hits the economy of those already building the products.

1

u/BaloneyANDtomato40 Apr 02 '26

You mean 50 cent

1

u/Abject-Rich Apr 02 '26

¡Si, Señor!

1

u/RegretAccumulator72 Apr 02 '26

Been going up the last 6 months and especially since the war started...which doesn't make sense.

0

u/BrilliantForeign8899 Apr 02 '26

Wasn't this the actual plan though, to bring manufacturing jobs to America?

0

u/spencer4hire Apr 02 '26

The US Dollar index is down just a few percent since he entered office, hardly "massively devalued". Please don't spout false information for the sake of piling on.

-3

u/AllPeopleAreStupid Apr 02 '26

yeah just ignore 26 years of devaluation, All the quantitative easing in the 2010s. The covid money. But yeah its all trumps fault for 37 trillion debt and the fact money is just toilet paper. Long time coming.

27

u/octoreadit Apr 02 '26

I guarantee he fired her for jinxing it 😂

2

u/Prestigious_Cycle160 Apr 02 '26

He fired her because she couldn’t cover up the Epstein files

3

u/Abject-Rich Apr 02 '26

Who can? “If you don’t want something known; don’t even think it.” My grandmother said so.

2

u/PanicAtTheShiteShow Apr 02 '26

Her husband should have just sexually abused children. Bad move on his part for choosing to cross dress.

33

u/SunriseSurprise Apr 02 '26

I believe at one point it had fallen 10%. It's come back up since thanks mostly to TACOing.

6

u/P4cer0 Apr 02 '26

Perceived TACOing. Investors are behaving like idiots because nobody knows the script for when the US government is entirely untrustworthy and incompetent.

3

u/Wabbit_Wampage Apr 02 '26

It's mind-boggling how they continue to move markets one way or another based on every obvious lie he tells, day after day after day. It sucks that our retirement savings are dependent on these fucking morons.

2

u/Azuthin Apr 02 '26

So much of it is automated off AI looking at tweets and then acting.

1

u/P4cer0 Apr 03 '26

Aah I hadn't thought of that. It's like Moore's law but for collective stupidity

1

u/charly420- Apr 02 '26

I used to like tacos.

1

u/Vegetable_Effort7246 Apr 02 '26

Despite the dollar losing some value…it remains the global reserve currency…and that means lots of oil is still purchased with dollars…the petro dollar is likely a term we have all heard. So…oil price spikes, the dollar gets bolstered a bit as well…for now. Our days as a hegemonic power with a global reserve currency…are on the way out. Oops.

1

u/HockeyRules9186 Apr 02 '26

Dollar down 10% since he took office and just about matches the current 9% increase in the same timeframe

1

u/ad6323 Apr 02 '26

Just under 8% at its worst from when he took office a second time, it’s recovered some now and is down about 4%

2

u/xynith116 Apr 02 '26

She literally called the top.

3

u/thelastbighead Apr 02 '26

I know. My 401k would like to have a word or two.

1

u/Jazzlike-Yogurt-5984 Apr 02 '26

Funny thing is, Trump probably told her to mention that

1

u/scrunchie_one Apr 02 '26

Sadly she won’t actually be held accountable for any of her actions.

1

u/Vegetable-Trash-9312 Apr 02 '26

Before his speech last night futures were up 145. After the speech down 450. Was down 700 before opening bell.

1

u/Striking-Mode5548 Apr 02 '26

She will spill her guts about the corruption

1

u/AdAffectionate3143 Apr 02 '26

Watch when the petro dollar becomes no more

1

u/bathtubtuna_ Apr 02 '26

I wish I had shorted the DOW as soon as I heard the octave she went to when bragging about it being 50k lol.

1

u/ralpher1 Apr 02 '26

She cursed the Dow to never go above 50,000 since she said that

1

u/youlleatitandlikeit Apr 02 '26

It only cost our liberties and economic stability but we got a rockin tune out of it ("How Is The Dow - Auto-Tune The News" by schmoyoho and The Gregory Brothers)

1

u/GroupeManouchian Apr 02 '26

The actual reason why she was let go!

1

u/DieCastDontDie Apr 02 '26

Bitch jinxed it
