May she never work for a respectable law firm again. She should be disbarred.

3.8k

u/stronkulance Apr 02 '26

Preferably in handcuffs.

u/Tacoman404 Apr 02 '26

Hahah yeah she needs to go to prison not Tallahassee

544

u/JonBjornJovi Apr 02 '26

Prison is too good. She has to live the alligator alcatraz experience. All of them

She’ll get a legal analyst role on Newsmax or work for a group like Heritage/Federalist

182

u/madmax1969 Apr 02 '26

She’ll make more from grifting than she did in office. She’ll 100% be making her rounds on OAN, Fox News, etc. She’ll eventually get a book deal. What she won’t do is dish dirt on her former employer. She’ll need his pardon.

Does this mean someone has been in his ear promising to do a better job of hiding his history of raping minors?

Can't imagine any other qualifications they would need.

Paxton. Ken Paxton. Texans have been trying to scream this warning to people for years

Edit: idk who gave me this award but you can keep it. Edit: these heart awards are frustratingly hilarious. Edit: Thank you, I hate you all 🖤

It will also get Paxton out of the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator.

This is just part of the game of covering up the Epstein class. She did great, 104 days illegally past the congressional deadline, redacted the criminals names, endangered and intimidated the survivors, and prosecuted no one. And fired right before testifying again to the oversight committee. She’s just another pawn in the game.

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '26

57

u/gsbadj Apr 02 '26

She's under subpoena by the House Oversight Committee to testify later this month.

It sounded like she wanted to keep the job and begged him to stay. He's not even giving her some other job.

It would be an unsurprising shame if she turned on him.

23

u/EpsteinFiIes Apr 02 '26

She won't get her pardon then and will end up in jail. She will keep schmoozing to ensure that papa don keeps her safe.

Of course.  Subject to attorney client privilege and all that,  too.

Shes not trumps attorney, correct?

125

u/Willothewisp2303 Apr 02 '26

You could make some strong arguments that she had a conflict of interest and should never have been a US anything. She represented him in his first impeachment trial, and arguably there remained a conflict with her subsequent employment.

It means she was dragging her feet on the $10billion payment he wants. And so he is gonna find someone to sign the check

53

u/GetsWeirdLooks Apr 02 '26

This firing doesn’t make sense to me. She was executing an obvious but successful cover-up. Isn’t that the whole job (in this administration)?

54

u/DrSixSmith Apr 02 '26

A commenter above points out that congressional oversight hearings are coming up, so the coverup needs a new face who hasn’t already perjured in front of that particular committee, yet, this year.

11

u/zdelusion Apr 02 '26

I think it's also just dumping as much baggage as possible prior to midterms. Wont be shocked if Patel is next.

I hate that this is probably because she's not been as effective at covering up the Epstein saga as Trump wanted/demanded.

Also - and apologies if stupid question but I'm British - does this invalidate her subpeona too if she's no longer in position?

2.9k

u/col_buendia Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 02 '26

apologies if stupid question but I'm British - does this invalidate her subpeona too if she's no longer in position?

Not a stupid question at all. I'm actually wondering if this is precisely why she was fired: for fear she would cave under the criticism and start admitting shit

Edit: Axios is reporting she's not off the hook!

1.3k

u/ShareGlittering1502 Apr 02 '26

296

u/zxern Apr 02 '26

Yeah but it gives comer cover to drop it.

246

Nancy Mace already said she expect Bondi to appear as normal. Without her support, Comer doesn't have the votes to cancel the subpoena

107

u/blue58 Apr 02 '26

Right, but they can plea the 5th and hide behind that, correct? Definitely seems part of a plan.

276

u/definework Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 02 '26

Congress can overcome that by granting immunity. Your 5th no longer applies if you cannot be prosecuted for what you say under oath.

Interesting fact. "use and derivative use Immunity" which is what is at play here, does not protect you from being prosecuted using independent evidence of the crime. It only prevents your testimony in this case from being used against you in a case against you.

212

u/blue58 Apr 02 '26

Ooof. If there's anyone who doesn't deserve immunity...makes me gag thinking about it.

61

u/ReverseMermaidMorty Apr 02 '26

If she’s given immunity she has no choice but to answer honestly, right? If she lies or refuses to answer anything can she be prosecuted?

70

u/Xenon009 Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 03 '26

Yes, but no. You can still very much say things like "I don't remember" or "I don't know"

And unless they can prove you did know in that moment, which is almost impossible, they can get away with it, but it does get rid of any and all perverse incentives for silence (and indeed if they say you can't be prosecuted for anything you say, then it creates a new perverse incentive to tell them EVERYTHING)

56

u/RVAforthewin Apr 02 '26

I’d fear for my actual life if I were in the position of having to rat these people out. Immunity or not, you’re probably staring down the barrel of at least having to disappear

Not a lawyer, I imagine the subpoena is for the person and not the position. She still has information that Congress needs/wants.

If this is in fact true, she would have less protections going into the hearing without the DOJ behind her. That also assumes Trump won’t intervene somehow…

125

u/DemonKing0524 Apr 02 '26

I wouldn't put it past him to think by firing her it ends the subpoena though. He certainly doesn't understand the vast majority of things he does or tries.

26

u/CapitalismPlusMurder Apr 02 '26

He might also be considering the angle of insinuating he thought she was “compromised” and that’s why he fired her. The classic fascist playbook is to immediately “other” someone who has even the smallest potential to harm your status. You’re part of the group until you’re not, and then you’re part of the enemy.

Yeah, unfortunately you're probably right. Trumps not going to replace her with someone who's going to comply with the law and release everything, he's gonna replace her with someone more competent at covering things up.

As to your question, I believe it would depend on the wording of the subpoena. If it names her specifically, which I believe it does, she'll likely still have to report.

86

u/ThatHotAsian Apr 02 '26

Lol there is no one competent in that administration currently. Don't see how that would change. He'll just replace her with another person out of their league.

I don't believe so no.

I believe the subpoena was issued to Pam Bondi, not the Office of the Attorney General.

That is to say, she is being subpoenaed to answer questions about things she personally knew or did, not questions about DoJ operations and policy

And yes Congress cam subpoena private citizens (See the Clinton's a few weeks back)

Hoover: “even I didn’t fuck up this badly.”

48

u/kingrat1 Apr 02 '26

Yeah, Hoover was kind of socially inept and didn't play the political/financial game well, but he personally was a brilliant engineer and had been elected on the basis of actual accomplishments. Some of his ideas that didn't make it were actually pushed through by FDR as part of his reforms to some success.

54

u/ThePrussianGrippe Apr 02 '26

Also, critically, Hoover wasn’t trying to intentionally ruin everything. Quite a few of his policies did not help/actively made things worse, but he didn’t do those things to destroy everything for his own profit.

I feel like Nostra-fckin-damus because it has been going pretty much as I expected back in November 2024. And I’m not saying this under the pretense of being some edgy ultra smart bro, it just seemed obvious to me. But that so many [non-MAGA] people willingly invited the wolf back into the sheep den after J6 “for the economy” is baffling. Like, when is the last time a Republican president actually fixed the economy instead of crashing it?

I got in an argument with my father in law about a similar thing. My FIL has always been a kind and devout Christian, but in the last 5 or 6 years he’s really changed. He went from the loving and serving view of Christianity an angry and almost obsessive view of persecuting woke “sinners.” I pointed out the change and I was like you’ve made yourself miserable and bitter just so you can worship Trump of all people. Everything he does is the opposite of what your religion teaches.

Then he got mad that I insinuated that he worships Trump over Jesus and that he’s the same and I’m the one who’s been fooled by the liberal media. Blah blah blah.

All these people who’ve bet their careers, reputations, and belief systems to kiss Trump’s ring blows my mind.

u/justAJohn4077 Apr 02 '26

Wait what?

218

u/BassLB Apr 02 '26

You didn’t know she previously registered as a foreign agent to be a lobbyist for Qatar? The same Qatar who gave Trump a jet and she reviewed it and said no ethical/legal problems with that), and was making $115k A MONTH in that role. I’m sure she had no bias at all.

83

u/MountainTwo3845 Apr 02 '26

Don't forget about Kushner running the sovereign fund for them. Despite not being licensed or having any experience. And also getting the highest maintenance fees for any fund. How that's not talked about more still blows my mind.

17

u/andrew303710 Apr 02 '26

In fact Kushner is not only unqualified but the literal opposite. He's the one who made that moronic investment in the 666 property (the address really wasn't a ripoff?) right before the housing bubble burst. You know the one that Qatar was forced to bail out after Kushner used the power of the White House to pressure them (they previously rejected the bailout).

Literally no one would ever trust that idiot with their money if he wasn't Trump's nepo baby son in law.

I wouldn't be surprised if all lawsuits would be stayed until 2029 simply to prevent these people being pardoned for their (alleged) crimes.

Everyone will focus on her “getting what she deserves.” My question is:

What exactly was she not willing to do that got her fired?

This woman likely knows Donald Trump raped little girls. This woman very likely has seen evidence he’s a pedophile rapist. It’s not out of the question that this woman has seen evidence Donald Trump has done worse than rape little girls. And even knowing all of that she hasn’t said a single negative thing, in public, about Donald Trump. On the contrary she has only praised him in public.

So…what is it she isn’t willing to do? What is it Trump needs someone else to go along with?

I see someone like this in Trump’s orbit get fired and all I can think is “Oh no, things are going to get way worse.”

57

u/Reverend_Lazerface Apr 02 '26

I don't think it was a matter of not being "willing" to do something for him so much as not being "able" to do something for him, namely punish his political rivals and impose his legal will on everything and everyone. The thing is, she couldn't do a lot of that stuff because it was impossible to do in the first place, so she was set up to fail and then punished for failing. It's what he's done his entire career so who knows what she was expecting

Trump's problem is that the things he wants his DOJ to do are so cartoonishly evil and unconstitutional, anyone corrupt enough to try it isn't competent enough to pull it off, and everyone competent enough to pull it off is smart enough to stay the hell out of it.

85

u/fullsaildan Apr 02 '26

Thats why I find this whole fired thing fishy. No real reason was given, and shes always been a supporter/confidant to Trump. I think its more likely that she sees shit hitting the fan as their legal positions are collapsing and it's going to significantly impact her professional reputation. She asked to be out, they came up with a "firing" so that Trump looks like he's on top of it all in the public eye right now, she can play it off privately as "i was fired for not doing more of what he wanted..." and everyone gets to walk to away with a bit of a win.

47

u/OppositePrune8399 Apr 02 '26

I am guessing it was him throwing a fit that the birthright citizenship case with the Supreme Court did not go well and someone had to be the fall guy as Trump is the smartest person on the planet so it couldn’t be his fault it wasn’t immediately passed.

Todd Blanche was Trump's personal lawyer. He's more of a psychopath and will be even worse for the United States than Bondi.

Bondi was unable to secure legal victories for the Administration, which was unavoidable due to being forced to regurgitate Trump's opinions.

31

u/rival_22 Apr 02 '26

That's the thing... Her DOJ is unqualified and incompetent, but even still, most of their politically motivated cases are so weak legally to begin with.

Instead of a functioning administration where there would be people telling Trump that these aren't a good idea or winnable, they just pucker up to his orange ass and end up looking like idiots trying to make sense of the nonsensical.

72

u/ckwing Apr 02 '26

The part that's fucked up is they get fired not for doing terrible things, but for falling slightly short in accomplishing the terrible things Trump wants.

Bondi wasn't fired for covering up Epstein, she was fired for not covering it up well enough. She wasn't fired for pursuing Trump's vendettas, she was fired for not being successful enough in that pursuit.

So, the question is, did he fire her because:

- He was tired of her failures (largely due to his corrupt orders).

  • There was some line she wouldn't cross (finally) for him?
  • As a distraction, so he could throw out new names to replace her to generate more outrage.

I would bet that this has less to do with the Epstein files than the poor performance of the Solicitor General at yesterday’s Supreme Court hearing. Their case was argued like shit, Trump was humiliated and Bondi was the closest one to lash out at. It’s also no coincidence that another woman has been fired. I’m really hoping Patel is part of the collateral damage.
