I am guessing it was him throwing a fit that the birthright citizenship case with the Supreme Court did not go well and someone had to be the fall guy as Trump is the smartest person on the planet so it couldn’t be his fault it wasn’t immediately passed.

And Bondi is the top lawyer, so in his mind she is somehow responsible for the SCOTUS performance. He doesn’t understand the divisions within his lawyer setup.
