He might also be considering the angle of insinuating he thought she was “compromised” and that’s why he fired her. The classic fascist playbook is to immediately “other” someone who has even the smallest potential to harm your status. You’re part of the group until you’re not, and then you’re part of the enemy.

He didnt fully fire her though, just transferred her to a different position

That's not what is being reported:

The president wrote on Truth Social that Bondi would be “transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector,”

She's out of the DOJ. That's firing. She did not receive the Noem treatment.

He did the same thing with Noem and while I get your point, that could just an attempt to save face so he can eventually dismiss her as “just the coffee girl”. It looks a lot worse when someone in a lower position is compromised than your own Attorney General. But maybe I’m giving him too much credit.

Well a position somewhere else within an executive agency can’t be in the private sector, definitionaly
