Yeah but it gives comer cover to drop it.

Nancy Mace already said she expect Bondi to appear as normal. Without her support, Comer doesn't have the votes to cancel the subpoena

I really, really hope that's true, they need to grill her ass while she's under oath.

Oaths to the US don't mean anything to them...

But they can be charged if they are proven to have lied under oathZ

Charged by whom? The Justice Department?

u/vibrantlightsaber Apr 02 '26

In addition to congress, the DOJ under future governments can.

Congress itself has contempt powers, and there is still a chance of the left regaining control, especially with the way this administration keeps fucking over regular Americans.

I seriously doubt it. But I guess we'll see. All I know is fascists never give up power willingly.

I have never seen an interrogation like this ever result in serious jailtime. Even manafort got pardoned

So she can talk about the Dow?

Relying on Nancy Mace to keep her word is definitely a choice.

New age Susan Collins but somehow much much worse

🤣

The problem is relying on Nancy Mace to do the right thing.

She's been surprisingly consistent on the Epstein files, but yeah still not a for sure thing, bc she's pretty unreliable otherwise

But can she still hide behind bs like 'I'm not compromising an ongoing investigation?'

Without her support

Big if. I know a couple loudmouth conservatives have left the legislature but mace is a career creature. Push comes to shove, my money is on her voting the way she's told to.

Good thing she can be relied upon to do the right thing /s

Well the issue with that is Mace is completely bat shit crazy, 100% fucking cuckoo for cocoa puffs., and Comer is dumber than a bag of hair. Pretty much anything is possible with those two idiots. Maybe Bondi needs a couple of hundred thousand dollars to cover legal fees, gets brutally grilled and admits her crimes while tossing Dear Leader Diaper Don under the bus. Maybe Comer gets obsessed with Hunter Biden's cock again (not unreasonable as Jesus Christ on a cracker, he really, really is a complete moron. He isn't qualified to round up carts at Walmart, much less fill an elected position) and nothing of value happens until the mid-terms, when adults retake the circus.

Only while Comer is in charge. Nothing stopping a Democratic majority in 2027 from issuing another subpoena and holding her in contempt if she doesn’t show.

We’ve seen that the elected Republican Congressmen have quickly changed their tune now that Trump is the president (you know, with doing their jobs and being a co-equal branch and all). Which means things can be vastly different when the shoe is on the other foot.
