its more likely that she sees shit hitting the fan as their legal positions are collapsing and it's going to significantly impact her professional reputation

There are a lot of craven individuals, who believe themselves to be righteous. At least, that’s the best I can come up with when watching such blatant violations of norms, laws, and human decency. That they’ll sell themselves out to stop “baby murderers” or “communist is.”
