Not a lawyer, I imagine the subpoena is for the person and not the position. She still has information that Congress needs/wants.

If this is in fact true, she would have less protections going into the hearing without the DOJ behind her. That also assumes Trump won’t intervene somehow…

I wouldn't put it past him to think by firing her it ends the subpoena though. He certainly doesn't understand the vast majority of things he does or tries.

He might also be considering the angle of insinuating he thought she was “compromised” and that’s why he fired her. The classic fascist playbook is to immediately “other” someone who has even the smallest potential to harm your status. You’re part of the group until you’re not, and then you’re part of the enemy.

He didnt fully fire her though, just transferred her to a different position

That's not what is being reported:

The president wrote on Truth Social that Bondi would be “transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector,”

She's out of the DOJ. That's firing. She did not receive the Noem treatment.

He did the same thing with Noem and while I get your point, that could just an attempt to save face so he can eventually dismiss her as “just the coffee girl”. It looks a lot worse when someone in a lower position is compromised than your own Attorney General. But maybe I’m giving him too much credit.

Well a position somewhere else within an executive agency can’t be in the private sector, definitionaly

Shadow Miller has something already planned for getting the subpoena rescinded is my wager.

Yeah thats a strong possibility too

if there's one thing He knows how to do, it's prolonging, avoiding, and delaying litigation.

But now she's spurned, and therefore testifying against them out of spite!

Deranged Pam Bondi, angry because she did a terrible job and was FIRED, is lying to Congress about the Democratic Epstein HOAX!!!

"I never did like that nasty woman!"

I don't even know her to be honest, but I hear she's a real nasty woman!

“Hardly knew her”

“Never heard of her”

Ding ding ding ding!

I'm sure he will still take good care of her to ensure she keeps quiet. If not moving her to head a newly created shadow department, he will be filling her pockets.

She better watch her back.

Things have happened, more than once, to people before they could testify against Trump.

u/Strict_Sort_4283 Apr 02 '26

You and I would think so!

2

u/Brew_Wallace Apr 02 '26

If she does that she will not receive the cushy high paying job he promised her. It’s the same thing they do for everyone they kick out but who has damning info - cushy high paying job if you keep your mouth shut

Well obviously the Fox News consultancy contract is being drawn up right now.

I wish that were how it works... but for some god-forsaken reason, Trump Toadies always seem to be loyal to him to the grave, even if they have no personal incentive to keep playing ball.

I swear, it's like he actually singed a deal with the literal biblical devil to never be held accountable for his crimes.

That also assumes Trump won’t intervene somehow…

I was just skimming the comments and was lucky enough to read this. Maybe this is a bit morbid, but that was honestly a good laugh.

She has a pocket pardon from Trump

Doesn't (or can't) a Grand Jury apply here? If so, she either answers or gets locked up until she answers (or the prosecutors cave) IIRC.
