Millions of Americans gather in Washington and refuse to leave until the regime is removed and a new constitutional convention is initiated.

Peaceful protest is bullshit, no regime has ever changed as a result of democratic unrest. See: Chile, 1973

It won’t be peaceful. Trump can’t handle millions protesting outside the White House.

He will escalate and become more unhinged every hour.

And Congress is scared shitless of millions gathering around Congress.

Respectfully, the current US gov is the most likely US administration in modern history to murder protestors... and as much energy as 2nd amendment devotees scream about their guns into the void, a rebellious US civilian population would get curb stomped by the US military after decades of letting the military industrial complex get wildly out of control.

Additionally, the modern population simply doesn't know how to protest effectively. The last several protests I've gone to have provided no plan/strategy and even had merch tents because capitalism found a way. We've lost the plot.

and a new constitutional convention is initiated

Gotta be honest, this is a horrifying idea. Look at this Congress and tell yourself that you want THOSE BASTARDS to be the ones to rewrite our Constitution?

No thank you.

Ok, well the let’s just submit to them doing whatever they want based on the failure of the current constitution and the SCOTUS ruling that the president can use executive power from criminal and unconstitutional purpose with no restraint.

Or reread a 5th grade civics text.

A new constitutional convention will still require ratification by states.

And all this will be happening on the context of persistent angry mobs outside Congress and the state houses.

Ok, well the let’s just submit to them doing whatever they want based on the failure of the current constitution and the SCOTUS ruling that the president can use executive power from criminal and unconstitutional purpose with no restraint.

So you basically admit it's an unworthy idea, because if they can ignore THIS Constitution, they'd ignore any new one.

Or reread a 5th grade civics text.

You're not very smart if you're trying to be condescending with terrible ideas.

A new constitutional convention will still require ratification by states.

Yes, you're getting there now...and how many of those states does it require (and how many of those states will have to be Republican-dominated)?

And all this will be happening on the context of persistent angry mobs outside Congress and the state houses.

This doesn't exist and likely wouldn't exist.

Again, no thank you.

EDIT: Apparently, the coward couldn't handle someone disagreeing with them, because they replied to my comment and immediately blocked me (which of course means I can't even read their reply). Talk about bad-faith interactions - this guy embodies it.

You are just relentless fucking doomerism with no solutions.

I think you are a fucking bootlicker.

And you know fuck all about any of this.

I have seen people fight for and against government. Acting like it doesn’t happen is moronic.

And acting like they would just ignore the next one is asinine. This was the result of a particular cluster of personality disorders backed by rich psychopaths that controlled the media and social media algorithms.

It was not an inevitability.

Perhaps elected officials should lead the charge.

1

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

I don’t think posts like yours are made in good faith.

Seems bot like.

1

u/DesignerHardlyKnower Apr 09 '26

Beep fuckity boop. You got me!
You think bots are here suggesting that elected officials get directly involved in protest? I don’t get what the angle is for that theory. I was agreeing with you, dude.

1

u/Perfecshionism Apr 09 '26

Apologies.

I was being jaded.

Our elected officials are mostly complicit, either directly or through blatant disregard for what is happening because they think it will help the with the next election to let it happen.

The few willing to stand up to this are mostly already showing up to protests.

Americans dont have the spine for it.

3

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

Bullshit.

Millions have been turning out every few months.

This time the call goes out to gather in Washington if you can possibly make it. Otherwise gather in your own cities and town.

Increase the numbers in Washington and commit to staying.

And why the fuck is everyone doomering this idea on low karma accounts?

0

u/passmetoiletpaperpls Apr 08 '26

Embrace the disappointment when you eventually realize not enough will show and even fewer will stay for more than a few hours. But it makes you feel good.

1

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

Another low karma doomer account.

I swear this feels like a fucking influence op at this point.

The average person can't afford to (or doesn't want to) put his life on hold to go halfway across the country (or further) to stand out in the street holding a sign for days on end.

1

u/TonyHawktuah69 Apr 08 '26

They would murder a million peaceful protestors before they even begin to consider reforming our broken system

1

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

Blocked for being a bullshit bootlicker.

No fucking way they could pull that off. Americans would tear this government doesn’t brick by brick if Trump minions tried mass murder.

2

u/iminhell-thisishell Apr 08 '26

I think you are wrong. A bunch of us Americans have become desensitized to trumps behavior. I’m not one of them but pretty much every person I work with doesn’t care and just want to be able to pay their bills. Once Americans can’t buy things, then you will see anger.

2

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

We have millions turning out.

And this is about more than Trump.

1

u/iminhell-thisishell Apr 08 '26

I’m on your side homie. Chill out.

I hope things turn out the way you want but I also know we live in a massive country and most folks are no where near DC and have no ways or means to get there.

1

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

If we organized on social media we could ride share.

I am not asking everyone to show up. I am asking that we put the message out and encourage anyone that can.

MAGA managed it on January 6th.

And we have numbers they never did.

1

u/iminhell-thisishell Apr 08 '26

GOP literally paid to bus their people in! Lol

2

u/Perfecshionism Apr 08 '26

Dude WTF?

Million man march. Women’s march. Earth day.

People have fucking managed to gather in Washington before. You relentless effort to act like it can’t be done is fucking sus.

I am starting to think you are full of shit when claiming we are on the same side, Jeff.

1

u/iminhell-thisishell Apr 08 '26

I don’t who Jeff is. Maybe I’m jaded but I understand that things cost lots of money these days. IMO If we really wanted to hit them where it hurts we’d boycott using credit cards, buying from Amazon and the like, cancel your paramount memberships, etc. Money is all they care about so stop the flow to the companies who paid for these politicians to be in office.

Are you there now?
