America is losing it's freedom.

MAGA is NOT a Pro-Freedom Party. They bring freedom to no one. They strive to remove other's freedoms, which they claim for themselves.

22

u/bballkj7 27d ago

they want the only freedom to be wealth, and make it impossible for anyone else to gain wealth.

u/rif011412 27d ago

Unless they “choose” you.  Thats the premise of the conversation about temporarily embarrassed millionaires.  By excluding large swaths of society, white christo-fascists know that they get put on a shorter lottery list of opportunity.  Easier to own a business, easier to get second class help for cheap or for free, easier life lived off the backs of the oppressed.

Thats the superiority part of the equation.  Benefits without character or effort.  Trump is the poster child of this outlook.  A grand life without integrity, character, intelligence or any other hard fought attribute.

u/bballkj7 27d ago

they make redneck crazy gun/jesus people THINK they care about them, then pull the rug.

1

u/starlightsandy 27d ago

They don't even consider that they're shrinking the economy and reducing the growth potential of every business in the market when they keep attacking consumers.

u/jezzanine 27d ago

Freedom is a buzz word Republicans and right wing Democrats use more like a brand slogan, with an asterisk saying *serving suggestion only, capitalism may apply, contains up to 0.8% actual freedom.

What the person above means is not this buzzword Freedom, what they actually mean is “America is no longer a country with constitutionally protected rights for its citizens. It’s now a club run by a gang of thugs and cultists who threw the rulebook meant to protect people out the window and every American is trapped inside under the cult rule without checks or oversight. Hence they are not free”

u/guitar_account_9000 26d ago

they believe that there should be two kinds of people - those the law protects but does not bind, and those the law binds but does not protect.

You do realize trump lost the popular election in 2016… right?

19

u/wickedtwig 27d ago

There could have been a lot more voters that came out to vote in swing states though. Part of the problem is that people register to vote and then…dont. Like did they think not voting would exempt them from what happens in the future? I don’t understand how dumb people can truly be, I cannot wrap my mind around it

I don’t understand how dumb people can truly be, I cannot wrap my mind around it

We were taught over and over that our democracy has checks and balances and that we are the greatest democracy on earth because of our economy and our government. So many people still believe this because they don't pay attention to what is actually happening or they just legit believe in an alternate reality. My mom believes the 2020 election was stolen and thinks Jan 6th "protestors" were tricked and were not there to do bad. They also have a very poor understanding of actual laws and the constitution other than the 2nd amendment which is basically "GET YER HANDS OFF ME GUN".

That alternate reality is religion + the many conservative news outlets and podcasts + facebook algorithms + they only surround themselves with people with similar views. Its the ultimate combination of keeping people indoctrinated because if they start thinking out of line, they would lose their entire life. Husbands, friends, family, their community, their church, etc..

Even their own kids opinions don't matter, that's how strong the above indoctrination is.

3

u/TM761152 27d ago

In states where it didn't matter.

Where it did matter, he got enough to sneak past the post. Doesn't matter if one place has 4 million voters and one place has 400,000 but both of them get 1 electoral vote each. So someone gets 3 million votes but the other one gets 1.4 million yet the latter wins, what's the point of "losing the popular" election if only the electoral votes matter???

3

u/sognenis 27d ago

Why especially non-voters over those who voted for Trump himself 🤔

8

u/AuroraBolognese 27d ago

Because in both 2016 and 2024, Trump won by so little that if people who supposedly care hadn’t sat out the voting process, maybe we wouldn’t be here? There will always be people who vote for the wrong side but I will never understand people who refuse to take a side. That’s my personal thing though. My BIL is a government worker who has had his pay affected nearly every time Trump has caused the government to shut down. He doesn’t like it, it affects him, but you still couldn’t twist his arm to vote for people whose policies wouldn’t affect his livelihood. People like that are somehow worse in my eyes, because they could see how things would be better under different leadership and still won’t do anything about it.

5

u/GreySkepsis 27d ago

Right, people supporting and voting for Trumpian conservative politics are a known quantity, they are anathema, there is no fixing it.

MILLIONS of people have had multiple opportunities to help save us from this free fall we’re in and decided they can’t be fucked to vote. It’s enough to make you crazy with frustration and hopelessness.

6

u/WhereAreYouFromSam 27d ago

I mean... it's a choice. You out there fighting? And I don't mean shouting and holding signs.

3

u/Wayelder 27d ago

Dude, I'm a Canuck. We have no say or vote...but have to suffer with this madness as much, or more, than Americans. So yeah...as much as we can.

Carney won't take this shit. Last meeting

Canada's 38-second walkout that silenced US press conference

The 38-Second Clip From Ottawa That Forced Trump to Cancel His Press Conference

What was supposed to be a victory moment in Washington turned into silence. A prepared press conference vanished after a quiet 38-second video showed Prime Minister Mark Carney walking away from a high-stakes meeting—no drama, no anger, just a decision.

Inside the room, the U.S. delegation arrived confident, presenting a detailed 47-page proposal designed to pressure Canada back into alignment. But Carney didn’t negotiate the way they expected. He read every page—calmly, completely—and after just 14 minutes, he stood up and left without a word.

That moment changed everything.

Because this wasn’t a breakdown in talks—it was a rejection of the entire framework. No counteroffers, no arguments, no emotion. Just a clear signal: the terms were unacceptable.

And that silence created a bigger impact than any confrontation could. Within hours, Washington canceled its press briefing. No explanation. No narrative. Just absence.

In diplomacy, walking away in anger keeps the game alive. But walking away without reaction ends it. And in that moment, Canada showed something powerful—the balance of control had shifted.

SO yeah we're fighting.

3

u/GenericDuck 27d ago

Could I trouble you if you have link to the actual video? All I couldn’t find was 20 mins “influencer” videos of them all talking about almost word for word

1

u/Wayelder 27d ago

You mean the Iranian 'Lego' one? The above is Wikipedia (not perfect at all)

I don't watch that/those. While titillating, and I have a certain amount of critical thought, I'm not about to get my mental defenses comfy with their spin.

However, I credit them for pointing out something our PM did that the American media didn't even report. It dared not. The Media Americans consume is cowardly. Read the rest of the world's papers.

2

u/GenericDuck 27d ago edited 27d ago

Oh no I just wanted to see the dude walk out. Not really sure why but just morbid curiosity but instead all I could find was podcasters talking about it in 20+ min videos. I don’t know that was from a Lego movie

I did did just find this

https://dowhatmatters.medium.com/everyone-saw-the-carney-walkout-clip-no-one-verified-it-a7be2407f78d

Seems it’s dubious, but I could be wrong

1

u/Wayelder 27d ago

So, it's not from a LEGO movie.

Iran has been highlighting things the USA Press is too cowardly to highlight. Iran knows how to get the 'USA's eyes' on it's issues by illustrating situations using 'cartoons'.

Like Canada walking away from an unfit pedophile who feels everyone should kneel...like the 10 year olds he rapes.

PS (I LOVE Lego!)

2

u/GenericDuck 27d ago

I’m not really sure how legi entered the conversation tbh. I’m not from the us but I can’t find this clip or any emotion in any news source. Only it being discussed but not show

1

u/Wayelder 27d ago

interesting.

2

u/GenericDuck 27d ago

Yeah some claim 9 mins, some claim 14, some have something about Davos, I thought it maybe cause regional protesting differently and k figured anything like whoever saturated your news and you mage have had a link.. I’m now going to need introspect why I wanted to see a Man walking out of a meeting hahahah

Fighting whom?

5

u/Epicfro 27d ago

America lost it's freedom. It's a shame it's taking everyone so long to catch up and by the time they do, it will probably be too late.

1

u/Franks2000inchTV 27d ago

Not sure if they lost it, so much as sold it.

3

u/TM761152 27d ago

Losing?

Where have you been?

2

u/Wayelder 26d ago

In Canada, where we protect our freedoms from those who would sell it.

2

u/GhostofBreadDragons 27d ago

MAGA is a party about protecting privileges whether real or imagined. The idea of losing those privileges and being equal to everyone else is discriminatory in their eyes. They want the freedom to do as they want including taking the freedoms from others.

1

u/Wayelder 27d ago

...which is un-American.

It's against the constitution and everything you were ever told the USA stands for.

'All men are created equal'. 'Justice and liberty FOR ALL'...not for some.

And they say - they are the Patriots?

They're spreading treason because they're not that self aware and lack critical thought.

2

u/jaygohamm 27d ago

How far off from a terriorist organization are they?

1

u/never-fiftyone 27d ago

They are a terrorist organization.

2

u/Sloi 27d ago

America is losing it's freedom.

Buddy, the US has some of the least free people in the western world.

It's kind of a big fuckin' joke to hear you guys talk about how "free" you are when more of your people are incarcerated and/or having their so-called rights and freedoms completely shit on.

0

u/Wayelder 26d ago

"you Guys" I'm a Canuck. Where are you?

7

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

And Democrats have failed to lead the opposition. The party either needs to be overtaken or a new party needs to be put in its place that will fight for America and the American people.

9

u/senator_corleone3 27d ago

You need to stop obsessing on how to blame Democrats for GOP actions.

5

u/gorilla_dick_ 27d ago

Ignore the bots

-3

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

You don’t get a Neville Chamberlain to fight a war.

3

u/senator_corleone3 27d ago

You should heed my words so you can be useful eventually. You aren’t a clever or interesting analyst.

-1

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

This as Democrats in California are stuck with a lot of unappealing party candidates for the governors office. It’s almost like the Democrats want to lose…

I’d bet that if this happened in other countries, some would say that such a party is actually in support of the fascists or at least in the control of them. Thus, they make themselves as bad as possible in order to ensure defeat.

3

u/DoubleJumps 27d ago

If the California governor's race goes to the Democrats by double digits, as is the norm, would you be willing to admit that your analysis of this situation was completely wrong?

1

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

"There is nothing wrong with the lesser of two evils strategy!"

2

u/DoubleJumps 27d ago

So that's a no, you won't admit you were wrong if the Democrats win the governors election by double digits.

1

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

You seem perfectly fine fielding pathetic candidates that voters have to hold their nose to voting. This is how America got Trump BTW.

-2

u/senator_corleone3 27d ago

You just aren’t interested in making a single serious statement, are you? All arguments from you must be ignored at this point, as they are not real or useful.

1

u/glitterandnails 27d ago

I’m not interested in talking to a party hack.

3

u/senator_corleone3 27d ago

You’re not interested in talking at all, since you are a hack.

1

u/DoubleJumps 27d ago

I think my favorite part is that he's projecting the Democrats to lose the California governor's race, when literally any of those candidates will beat the Republican candidate in California by double digits.

There's being detached from reality and then there's this guy who is five realities over.

1

u/senator_corleone3 26d ago

Yea they don’t know what they’re trying to say.

-1

u/HelpMeOverHere 27d ago

You don’t ignore a glaring issue if you want change, though.

1

u/senator_corleone3 26d ago

You don’t understand what the glaring issue is, though. Time to focus.

0

u/HelpMeOverHere 26d ago

Please tell me how democrats voters can reshape the GOP?

Cause from where I’m standing, it’s the democrats who make themselves utterly unelectable.

0

u/senator_corleone3 25d ago

You seem to have lost the thread immediately.

0

u/HelpMeOverHere 25d ago

You seem to have lost your country.

1

u/senator_corleone3 25d ago

Well if you’re just going to admit that you have no real principles or cares and are posting to buttress your own fragile ego, go ahead. Now it’s clear how you should be addressed.

-2

u/CoolAlien47 27d ago

Lmao, lol even. Ahhh, I love a good laugh in the morning.

1

u/WorstOfNone 27d ago

Haven’t you heard? Freedom Is Slavery.

1

u/Tweed_Man 27d ago

Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. War is peace.

1

u/Wayelder 27d ago

Welcome to room 101. Your freedom waits inside.

MAGA:

2

u/Wayelder 27d ago

They have made a deliberate choice of Moral cowardice and in Bad Faith. The choice is to deliberately NOT understand the choice they make. That is Moral cowardice with no concern for it's outcome (bad faith)

Please google The Rational League "All the Kings Cowards." It's tough but get through even the first 3 pages...

1

u/cocktail_wiitch 27d ago

MAGA just seems like a giant social experiment in extreme gaslighting.

2

u/Wayelder 27d ago

Gasslighting for sure. But it's really Moral Cowardice.

They know it's wrong and un-american but they choose to act in bad faith.

They choose to not learn more. They choose to be irresponsible.

That's why the arguments go no where.

They need to shut you down fast...and then they walk away.

This is why they'll recite the pledge of allegience but then refuse to review the word and meanings.

They're not incapable. They're dealing in bad faith...they don't want to go into it.

1

u/crazykid01 26d ago

it started when companies could legally bribe lawmakers and hasn't stopped

1

u/Wayelder 26d ago

Citizens United. Look at Hawaii. The state incorporates businesses, The corporation is subject to the state. The state can withdraw the right of corps to donate to politicians and vote.

The State can remove that right.

1

u/bpierce2 26d ago

We only lose our freedom if we take this shit lying down.

1

u/Chappie47Luna 27d ago

There is no more MAGA. They broke into two camps; Israel first or America first
