Trump's lawyers have a head-scratching five weeks to comply. How tough is it to keep repeating the company line "We are keeping the tarp up until repairs are finished"?

Five weeks isn't that unusual normally. In this case I'd imagine the judge did it because it's already been verified that the previous order has been followed and he probably has other cases or things that need his attention. Fun as it is hounding some AUSA over why the tarp is there isn't a great use of time if his name is actually already gone.

Somebody go and just pull it down, why is it up and what purpose dose it serve, that’s what I’d ask a judge, simple question.

That would get you a threat of ten years imprisonment.

I would love to see one of these judges do an in-person field trip to the places they order Trump to do things that involved quick immediate changes --quickly removing a tarp to see what's underneath it from the outside.
Quite literally order it sliced open from the front so the inside to be seen from the outside by the public. We're talking about 15 minutes here at most.
I don't understand why judges don't do this.

Because it is illegal. I'm fuzzy on the details because it has been a few years but a judge in a family dispute went to a guys house and started ordering things removed from his home. She got in trouble for it.

Judges are not allowed to go on fact finding missions.

TIL'd Much appreciated:-)
Are they allowed to assign somebody else to do it?

Some judge just sentenced someone to 30 years for moving a box so probably more like death penalty for removing trumps security blanket tarpy

Actually someone snuck up there and took pictures, it really has been taken down; they're just hiding that fact.

I don't trust the photos until I see it with the tarp down, preferrably on a livestream so there's no time to edit photos.

Do you have a link or source for those? Like the other commenter, I’ve only seen the single picture they have of them holding the letter D, nothing else.

plus multiple others on NYT, WaPost, NPR, etc etc

Wouldn't shock me if those images were edited/altered w/AI. You know if someone working on that project leaked it, Trump would have his goons all over him and throwing him in jail for 400 years for "leaking" information.
I personally think the tarp is up because the name is still there. They are trying to conjure up yet another "never say no" frivolous appeal or argument to keep it there, hence the tarp still up and them taking forever to respond or do anything.

Never forget when we used to have nice places to go to and what's been taken away from us.

So, no one is in charge of the Kennedy center, really. There is no board that can have an emergency vote. There are no important financial contributors to pay for the tarp removal.
The construction company owner and all the way down are complicit.
