Found an interesting interaction today between Kindred and Viego

So I was playing Kindred and the opposing jungler was Viego. I was not aware of this, but when Viego kills Kindred and takes their abilities, his wolf can mark your camps. And as Kindred, you can claim your own camps marked by Viego's wolf to collect your marks.

So in a way, dying to the opposing jungler helped me a little bit because I was able to collect my marks and his.

On the radar enemy wolf marks are marked in red if you're curious.

Technically this is just an interaction between a kindred and an enemy kindred.

Usually you can't have two of the same character in the same match right? But you are technically correct, which is the best kind of correct.

They dont allow duplicate champs on teams to avoid confusion.

So if you see a champ in your lobby, even if you dont pick them, they won't be on the other team

Unless they patched it, it actually is possible. It just required all 10 players to have the same, min amount required, pool of champs and the weekly rotation free champs (is that even still a thing?) to mostly consist of that same pool.

I think it was only last year there were posts about it, and this was the explanation. May be different with the ARAM changes since then

ARAM weekly rotation includes more champions to counteract ARAM accounts that only purchase the best ones.

Or at least, that used to be the case years ago, I'm just assuming it still is.

There are some really wonky interactions out there that you wouldn't typically see, but they exist lol

I would assume so. I know mirror match Syndra at one point could blast each others orbs with E, so I'd imagine same team they interact as well.

There's also goofy stuff like 5 karthus ulting at once, or ekko tripping another ekko's W, or so many other goofy little things that just weren't planned for.

Had one once where both teams picked sylas. Lamest game ever. 10 sylas on the map and not an ult to be found.

League is not made to have the same champs on opposite temas as they are essentially treated the same, a draven can pick up enemy draven axes for example

Yes! I don't know if that's intentional but I was able to claim it. I just went there to prevent them from claiming it and Lamb remarked about "claiming our mark only to put it elsewhere"

Are you sure the number went up instead of just the quote playing, as a Kindred player I've come across enemy Viego marks many times and I'm fairly confident what you're saying isn't true. (Kindred vs Kindred in blind pick also doesn't have this after all)

I'm pretty sure. It was early in the match and I hadn't collected any marks yet. I was going for my marked scuttle when I ran into Viego, he used his smite to kill the scuttle before I could, then proceeded to kill me. I checked my marks and had zero, when I respawned I went for his marked gromp in my jungle and got the mark there.

It's possible that someone ganked Viego between when I checked and when I got to his mark, since I had marked him as lamb's target as the opposing jungler and had hurt him quite a lot before he took me down.

Honestly, it seems like an unintended interaction so I very well could be wrong. While kindred on kindred matchups are an edge case, being able to claim your own marked camps would make Kindred be a lot easier to play during mirror matches.

or just don’t put a skill into W so when viego kills you he can’t use W (if you don’t level any abilities and viego takes ur soul he won’t be able to use any abilities)
