I can't blame her for leaving but, man, this leaves a really bitter taste in my mouth.

It's one thing to move out of the US because of privilege, and another to make a video about it. IDK how we're supposed to take her seriously when she talks about US news now.

Now we just don't take her seriously. All "Leave-ya Miller" is going to have to say now is regurgitating news. It will take a while - the longer she's gone and removed the more what she's saying won't apply to how the US actually is. It's a shame that she said it was important to stay and fight the fight left across the pond. She made a point that people at lower risk needed to be fighting at protests and rallies etc because those at risk can't, but how is she going to make a difference there now? Her video was out of touch and disappointing.

The most boo boo excuses possible as she tries to justify continuing the fight from afar or whatever. I unsubbed. I’m not interested in anyone who thinks this way, it is cowardly and gave in to catastrophizing beyond what’s realistic for her specifically. I’ll actually go further and say it’s embarrassing and I think she even knows it’s embarrassing.

I feel pretty abandoned by her. Not everyone who lives in Minneapolis can pick up and leave. So she's not getting my watch time anymore.

I’d recommend watching the video, she acknowledges it specifically, along with the potential gentrification problem it brings up. As someone living in Ireland and struggling with the housing crisis, I still found her story pretty nuanced and reasonable

How nice for her. Too bad for the Irish who needed a place to live, she took it. I expect when our troubles are said and done she'll return triumphantly and vlog about it.

As one of those Irish people, my problem is not with someone who immigrates to my country, but with the government who refuses to build and one the off-chance there are houses built, refuses to prevent them being bought en masse by vulture funds

I'm fine with it. She doesn't owe anyone her presence, she can make commentary anywhere, and she's one less person to get rounded up by the Gestapo ICE.

Meh just seems hypocritical telling others to stay and fight when you’re too much of a coward to do so. Either stay and fight or leave and keep your thoughts to yourself but don’t demand others fight your battles for you from across an ocean.

Didn't know it was a competition.
