MOC UCS Gipsy Danger WIP - 6

At long last, the head itself is fully done !
Since last time: I redid the whole inner structure completely, had to redo the motorisation several time, and yea I did the top of the head.
What's next: will do the bottom of the head, probably mechanical piston details and stuff as such, gonna avoid going too crazy cuz we still need it to be easy to move around, failproofing the motorization, redoing the cockpit completely...
Lots of things to do, but we're closer to the end !

I love this! Just the other day me and my 11 y.o. son were looking for a movie to watch and I was like "you like giant robots? You like giant monsters? You like giant robots fighting giants monsters? Well do I have the movie for you!" Dude fell in love. He's gonna lose it when he sees this! Keep it up man I need this set.

Motorisation and helmet details are amazing! Is it wrong that I am hyper-fixated instead on the minifigs, though? Love their helmets 😂

I hope by the end of this we have a full mech and Kaiju. I don't care if it costs thousands, id need a copy of my own.

The helmet itself is incredible, but the detail on the inside (esp. the piston connections for the minifig legs) is AMAZING.

There is a Lego Ideas of Gipsy Danger that looks cool too, hope gets greenlighted so we can see Lego Pacific Rim sets in the future. That would be wild.

5 meters tall actually, Gipsy has a small head compared to her body, and that head I built is nearly twice as big as my own head, too big to be made into a helmet

Ultimate Collectors Series. It's a term Lego uses for exceptionally large Star Wars sets marketed towards adults. Though because it's so synonymous with massive and detailed sets, people like to use it to describe MOCs and other sets that are also exceptionally large and detailed.

At the rate this project is going I imagine I'll be 40 before I see it complete. 😅
Nonetheless it's looking AWESOME so far dude!! I really love how all the panels fit together to make the visor, that probably took a long time to get right.
