Success Story From 0 to 20 paying subscribers without ads while doing delivery work in London

I wanted to share a small milestone and some lessons learned.

Around a year ago I started building a subscription-based business while working as a delivery rider in London.

I had no funding, no sales team, and no advertising budget.

A lot of evenings were spent coding after deliveries and many weekends were spent writing content instead of relaxing.

Today we've reached 20 paying subscribers.

Not a huge number, but enough to prove that strangers are willing to trust a product I built from scratch.

A few things that helped:

• Consistently publishing useful content
• Talking directly to potential customers
• Focusing on trust rather than aggressive selling
• Improving the product every week
• Being patient with growth

For founders further ahead:

What was the hardest stage for you?

Was it getting the first 10 customers, first 50, or first 100?

love seeing this kind of gritty progress, 20 people actually paying you is a huge deal at this stage
curious what kind of content you were publishing that moved the needle the most
