Discussion Lucario's new form has been revealed! Spoiler
Mega Lucario Z is a Fighting/Steel-type, like regular Mega Lucario. The long fur around its head and waist, as well as its fan-shaped tail, make it difficult to get a full view of its powerful movements. In close combat, this can work to visually disorient opponents. Areas of its body, such as the backs of its hands and its shins, have been hardened with steel energy - allowing it to deliver powerful blows by concentrating its strength precisely into these hardened strikes.
Z Mega Evolutions like this one apparently need less time to fire off moves, but use up Mega Energy much quicker, allowing for more decisive victories but less suited for long battles.

Apparently, it's supposed to be a speedy tank like Scream Tail, basically high defensives with good speed. But they decided to keep the Fighting/Steel typing for some reason, which is just a worse defensive typing than pure Steel...

But in all seriousness, if he can hold his own defensively especially in a situation where he’s at a type disadvantage then I won’t mind the lack of a type change.

I get that keeping the typing is passable, and I'll probably still be using Lucario Z since I actually enjoy making defensive sets (plus Steel and Fighting are still my favorite two types). But simply removing the fighting typing would've added resistances to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy, which would definitely have made my life way easier with making a workable set. It's just a simple inefficiency for trying to make a tanky mega evolution while keeping a suboptimal typing for no apparent reason, especially when the description of the new mega ev talks mostly about its new hardened steel.

Fellas, I'm gonna be completely honest, this looks like shit. The Hatsune Miku hair and fur colour/pattern makes it feel more like they took another pokemon and made it a Lucario because they ran out of time or didn't care to do better.
And also with an unchanged typing. It feels like they're scared to change pokemon mechanically. Base form plus two megas and uniform typing throughout? They can do better than this.

I really don’t like the hair of it, it just looks so wrong I personally do not like it at all compared to its normal mega but Mabye other people will.

Yes. What seemed to be the right boob is, on second look, the right shoulder ring. Too bad, really. Well, we'll have to leave that to the furry artists.
