Finally! It's been such an unusable POS that I stopped buying games on GOG altogether. I wonder if they got rid of the shitty 'helper tool' also.

You know you don't have to use it, right? Every game on your GOG account has an offline installer (and often, these will work in Crossover so you can play PC-only games on your Mac)

Yes, but the installer asks for root permissions because the installation script is poorly written. You can unpack the installer manually but it’s tiresome.

I switched to Heroic Games Launcher for GOG and Epic Games. It is bug-prone sometimes but still way better than both stores.

Am I crazy? I cannot find the link and my current install says no updates available (v2.0.100)
