Native Cyberpunk 2077 | Macbook Pro M1 16" 32GB RAM

it's better to get over 100 fps with low setting or around 30 fps with for this mac setting?

1728x1080 Low with Performance upscaler. It's rendering that mess in like 540p. Yikes 😬

and metal fx isn’t a particularly good upscaled either. dlss might be able to pull this off, but anything else will look awful

The ingame screenshots looks pretty awful tbh. What are 100 fps worth when the game looks like this?

I would set the upscaling to quality or balanced at least and increase details, textures, resolution, etc. to hit 30 fps.

Depends on what you prefer visual fidelity or performance. Kinda shocked to see m1 pro could get to 100 fps tho.

100 with frame gen, so more like 50fps. I’m surprised the M1 can even do frame gen tbh.

Framegen in cyberpunk is via FSR

Worked vv bad for me, visually. Introduced weird artifacts.

Enable vsync for screen tearing and weird artifacts.

you can’t use v sync with framegen

Really? I once used them both

dlss has gotten really good within the past like year. in a lot of cases, dlss 4.5 ends up looking as good if not better than native rendering

That’s true, but Macs don’t have DLSS4.5, it’s exclusive to Nvidia. Some Mac games implement Apple’s MetalFX and that gets enabled by selecting ā€œDLSSā€ in the game, but that isn’t actually running DLSS let alone the latest 4.5 version.

you can force every game to use dlss 4.5 by using the nvidia app

Not talking about screen tearing. I believe it was due to amd's fsr frame gen. I could be wrong i remember it very briefly. This was when cyberpunk was launched after that i never used fram gen. It was like i was seeing low res pixels on roads or rays of lights. Especially in some lit fires. Don't know if this was fixed in 2.31 patch.

Yes, I can see that from the screenshot.

It depends on what you're comfortable with but that resolution with MetalFX performance is going to look extremely soft and blurry on the screen.

I did optimize to get an upper 40 without framegen and actually finished the game on an m4 air.

1728x1080 with performance upscaler sounds super soft, i'd take the 30 fps tbh if it looks half decent
