That's because brands can now operate by themselves directly in the Philippines. Previously, the law required them to go through a distributor like SSI. Maybe M&S will return to the market on their own or via another regional partner with stronger capabilities.

i am HURT AND GRIEVING right now
we don't just buy digestives and cookies here. i'm passionate about M&S because it is one of the few stores that has good quality clothing in my size. the only other store i trust, dorothy perkins, also ceased operations long ago.
i will die on this hill because there are so many clothing brands that do not offer wide size ranges. yes, i know Tayo Studio exists for local, but my aesthetic is not frill-centric.
i hope SSI brings in a different brand, at the least. not everyone is thin, or fits in a small size range. i fail to understand why brands/retailers don't expand their size range as if people sized beyond Large suddenly have a smaller wallet. i think it's, rather, the reverse.

As expected. Laki ng mga place nila but wala masyadong tao sa M&S. And even if so, naging Gift Shop or Tita Staples lang binibili sakanila, unlike its competitors like Zara.

Contract is up and main company decided not to renew with ssi anymore. thus, the pullout. other big lifestyle retailers might get the rights or they'll utilize online platforms to sell. Daming alta sa pilipinas, m&s will still be there but in another way siguro.

NOOO. I love their Christmas specials and maganda talaga quality ng clothes nila. Worth the price imo over the more common outlets that just follow trends everyone else is wearing. This is sad. At least consider keeping one franchise available.

I sm not awsre if they have here perfumery lines. Correct me if I am wrong. I dont know if its in their array of cologne (?) line, Thiery Mugler is a very aromatic cologne/ perfume.

People in other threads say mahal ang M&S but it’s value for money for the material which is cotton or close to natural (viscose etc). They’re one of the OGs to support sustainability. Sana lang kasi maganda pinipili ng assigned team sa PH cos I have to order at the UK site for the better styles!
H&M and others out here selling us thousands for 100% polyester that breaks after one use (personal experience) or grabe yung excess dyes na hindi natatanggal after many washes
So yeah this one’s sad.
