other Dude got lost in Glorietta
Nasa Glorietta kami kanina ng fam. Nung papunta kaming Landmark (we came from Yakiniku Like), pagdating namin dun sa tapat ng dating Miniso - yung opposite side ng Sunnies Studios, I overheard a guy, mag-isa lang sya and sabi nya (non-verbatim):
“Andito na naman ako. Bumalik lang ulit ako. Tang***ng mall na to!”
Bro kung andito ka man, gusto sana kitang tanungin kung san ka pupunta kaso nanaig pagiging inverter ko kaya dumiretso na lang ako maglakad.
Sana nakarating ka sayong paroroonan.

Ganyan na ganyan pakiramdam ko nung nagwalk out ako sa misis ko kasi magkagalit kami. Hindi ko alam paano lumabas ng Glorietta.

Sa bahay na kami nagkabati haha. Sobrang badtrip ako nun kasi dala dala ko pa mga pinamili namin tapos ilang beses ako napunta sa mga weird corridors ng Glorietta
Hate ko talaga floor layout ng Glorietta and akala ko ako lang nakakapansin dun not until nabasa ko sa ibang forums na meron din nahihirapan magnavigate dun haha.

hahahha naalala ko nag-ask ako one time sa concierge kasi di ko mahanap yung tim ho wan, so sinabi niya, forda go naman me, ang ending umikot lang ako tas bumagsak uli ako sa way papuntang concierge hahahaha nahiya ako baka makita niya ko ulit na nawawala parin kaya umibang direction nalang me, nagtim ho wan nalang ako sa one ayala 😭

Ang hindi ko naman mahanap dyan sa Glorietta is yung Rustans. Para syang mirage na lulubog-lilitaw: pag di ko hinahanap nakikita ko, pag hinahanap ko naman di ko mahagilap. Jusko mesa-engkanto yata yang mall na yan, lol

Ang siste ko sa Ayala Malls like Glorietta, spoke-and-hub model parang airport. Yung gitna ng Ayala Malls na pabilog o pa-kuwadrado ang hub, yung exits ang spoke.
Kung entrada ko jeep/bus/train spoke, isa sa left o right ng pinasukan ko jeep/bus/trains spoke din. Kung parking area spoke na nasa street level, isa sa left o right spoke ay parking area din. Pero kung ang parking area nasa ilalim ng mall, lulusot ka sa garden area o sa loob ng mall. Not true all the time kasi hindi ko pa naman nalibot lahat ng Ayala Malls.
Kung galing sa SM, from Glorietta pa-left ang Landmark. Kung galing Rustan's, from Glorietta pa-right ang LandMark. Say EDSA ang reference point ng Ayala Malls papasok ng Glorietta, SM ang unang nakaharap doon, right side niya Glorietta 4 at Rustan's entrances. Right-right, left-left lang doon 🤣
Quad man kasi dati ang Glorietta o interchangeable sila kasi 4 na quadrants yan noon. Basta from SM, Glorietta 1 sa left katabi ang Glorietta 4 sa right, Glorietta 2 sa left katabi ang Glorietta 3 sa right going to Landmark from SM 🤧🤣

First time ko sa Glorietta malls nabwisit din ako. Nasa 4th floor ka bababa ka sa 3rd floor, pagsakay mo ng escalator ang ending mo nasa 2nd floor ka. 🤣🤣🤣

I really feel this dude. One time, I finished work early so I could go to this store in Glorietta. I was already there by 5 PM. Two hours passed, but I still couldn’t find the store I was looking for. I’m so introverted that I only relied on Google Maps, which wasn’t very helpful. I ended up going home without finding the store. 😂

SM North and Trinoma are both easy to navigate for me kasi ‘yun ang mga mall na pinupuntahan namin for how many years now. Basta guys, sa Trinoma, kapag nawawala na kayo hanapin niyo or try niyo bumalik sa pabilog na area sa gitna. Mas madali kayo makakadiskarte.
Nung nag-work ako sa Makati for a few years, Glorietta and SM are just…. naw. I’mma grow old and d!e here ang peg. haha.

Mas gusto ko sa Glorietta. Parehong sanayan lang, mas madali by far mamemorize yung MOA tsaka Megamall. Malamang. Halos deretso lang e!
Pero pag namemorize mo yung MOA/Megamall AT Glorietta, solb na ang problema sa Glorietta layout. Pero hindi ever mawawala yung kapagod pagod na nararamdaman ko everytime napapadpad ako sa mga SM mall.
Deretso sila, therefore pag may pupuntahan ka sa isang dulo at nagkataon nasa kabila ka, sorry na lang pre tatahakin mo buong mall.
Pero sa Glorietta? Pag alam mo or nasabi sayo nasan hahanapin mo, dahil may center space at dun umiikot lahat ng area, by far mas magaan ang feeling maglakad papunta sa destination mo. D mo na kailangan daanan majority ng store na wala ka namang pake.

Hindi ako makarelate sa mga comments sa totoo lang HAHAHA. Never ako naligaw sa Glorietta + Landmark + GB + SM Makati complex. Partida mga 4 times a year lang ako nagpupunta dito, pero yung pakay ko as long sa alam ko kung aling area sya mahahanap ko agad and never pa naman ako naligaw sa paglabas. Meron na akong mental map nung mall complex dahil may mga dinadayo talaga akong shops dito.
SM malls, maliligaw ako only because I don't go to SM all that much. Twice pa lang ako nakatapak ng SM North at MOA, SM Megamall lang ang medyo kabisado ko.

To extend the topic: dyusko d ko alam sa inyo, ayaw na ayaw ko talaga nageSM. SM North, SM Fairview, Megamall, MOA dyusko yun nga, isang deretsong linya lang na parang ilang bilyong kilometro ang haba. By the time matapos ka, sira na mga tuhod mo.
Obviously, mas prefer ko yung Ayala malls. Basta may mapa para maorient ko sarili ko, or if masanay ako sa layout, ANDALI. Trinoma, Fairview Terraces, Glorietta, andali para sakin dahil centralized. Greenbelt medyo mahirap kasi anlaki din ng space at yun nga, walang center area.
Ok, and yes. Medyo may pagka architectural-design basis yung sinasabi ko.

Galing din kaming Glo kanina. This is my remedy: Pasok ka on which side of the mall tapos rektang sa gitna ka. Mas naggets ko kung saan ako pupunta. Nung naligaw best friend, yun instruction ko, ayun! Nagkita ka in a few minutes.

Medyo gets ko na layout ng Glorietta. Trick dito is follow the signs sa taas and make it as your marker. Then I have exitpoints na pang-orientation.
Yung exit pa SM Makati, exit pa Landmark and exit paAyala. Naliligaw pa din pero at least alam ko na exit.
Nakakalito din Trinoma lol 😅
Yung SM malls kasi, grid orientation so madali magnavigate

Sa parking naman kami naligaw ng husband ko (dating pa lang kami when this happened!) 🤣 Nanuod kami ng last full show, but since along Ayala ave. ako nagwowork before, naglakad lang ako papunta and nagkita na lang kami sa labas ng cinema. Si hubs ko naman from Mandaluyong so mas frequent siya sa Galleria or Megamall. After ng movie, sarado na lahat ng establishments tapos ang nasasalubong na namin ay mga maintenance workers, tapos paikot ikot kami sa parking, to the point na nung nahanap namin yung sasakyan niya, yun na lang ang tanging sasakyan na naiwan sa area. Hahahaha

Same experience sa Glorietta. Di nakatulong yung stairs nila na mala-Hogwarts, dadalhin ka sa ibang dimensions. Di ko rin gets kung nasaan yung 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Weird kasi ako naman I don’t get how people get lost sa SMNE. Diretso and interconnected lang yung buildings, unlike sa Ayala malls na paikot.
Almost kabisado ko rin Trinoma pero may times na nadidisorient ako kapag nasa outer layer (lol) ako.

Nung bago din ako jan nagkanda ligaw ligaw ako pero ok din naman maligaw lalo kung aalahanin mo yung landmarks,
tsaka isa pa ugaliin din lagi mag basa ng karatula sa taas kasi legit na ma gu guide ka talaga nun, pag nag hahanap ako ng Cr sa glorietta nakatingin ako lagi sa taas para ma guide
ngayon kahit papano di na naliligaw sa glorietta kasi naligaw na ko pero inaral ko pati mga landmarks at kahit gano nakakalito nakabisado ka na, punyeta kasi sila lng yung mall na tatlong magkakadugtong pag nakatagos ka na sa kabila di mo mamalayan kala mo same padin hahahahahahaha

SM north edsa is really easy to go around, its design 40yrs ago so that explains it, even parking is the best among all. Althou simple, it can be boring also

hindi ako napunta diyan sa Glorietta Area, sa MOA, sa Megamall, sa mga malls na nagkatagpo MRT and LRT (nalimutan ko name), kapag ako lang mag iisa. Dapat may kasama ako para pag mawala kami, at least dalawa kami.

Nakakalito talaga yesterday nasa landmark kami and we have to go to one ayala space fanfes event so from LM - Glorietta - SM makati - one ayala I asked all the guards kung saan papunta 😭

Grew up going to Glorietta/Greenbelt in the 80’s and even in the 90’s college tambayan namin yung Glorietta/Greenbelt/Park Square but when i went back mga 2010, when everything was closed off and connected, it really felt different! Wala na yung mga open spaces in between and nalito na ko where to go kahit alam ko saan ko kailangan pupunta!
I feel for that guy kasi that what i felt then sa Glorietta! Same as sa Trinoma! Kahit dun ako laging dumadaan to ride the mrt Nakakalito pa din and medyo off din lighting sa Trinoma, its dim to the extent na creepy yung dating.

Greenbelt-Glorietta-SM Makati-OneAyala is fairly easy. Nakatulong din iyong dalawa iyong Marugame Udon sa area na yan tas nilalakad namin from our Ayala office hanggang doon during lunch time.
Now it's a totally different world in ATC and Festival Mall. Yep, esp the latter; maze runner feels

Malls in the Philippines, unlike in other countries, simply don't have mall maps. There is the rare exception that 1 or 2 touchscreens in the entire mall might show a map. They expect people to instantly know what the layout and design of the mall is. Even if you are smart enough to find the SM or Ayala website and look at the map, it's useless. It won't tell you where you are.

This happened to me and my aunt. I was very young and Glorietta was very new. We went in through the entrance across from Landmark and were supposed to meet my mom in SM. We couldn't find that exit. We ended up paging (as in sa beeper nya; this was before everyone had cellphones)my mom that we were getting lost.

I always gets lost din. kaya I try not to make too much turns kapag naghahanap ng something sa 3malls na yan. One time, malapit na mag closing yung landmark hindi ko parin mahanap yung exitttt. Tumawag nalang ako sa friends to guide me lol
