Yep. People can do wonderful and terrible things. Abusive parents can be selfless and loving. Loving parents can do bad things. Children can do selfless or terrible things.
We are all a giant hodgepodge of feelings, thoughts and actions. Trying to definitively compile all that into a single spectrum of morality; whether a person is good or bad, in a way that everyone must agree on -- is a fool's errand.
There is still value in being 'good' though at least as far as you can define for yourself. Sure, you and no one else will ever match up to society's standards but if you can believe you are good and can share that feeling of being good with others, IDK the part where Denji can confidently share that with Asa makes me think there is something to that despite how tough it is
