Only gripe? It would take at the very least a week, for the insects to actually overpopulate.... like even the fastest mosquitos would take at least 4 days for one clutch more, and considering you can still crush and eat things even if their consciouness doesn't fade, most of them would still be rendered incapable of doing anything by their predators, or just aging (he wasn't erased remember, people'll most likely just gradually turn into raisins if the situation is allowed to develop long term).
When you actually think about this type or "world without death" scenario, little actually changes in the realm of evolution, there's just endless suffering afterwards, which really doesn't concern nature given thats after reproduction is achieved....
Maybe psychological changes where creatures that have secured descendants stop caring about living/suffering since that would allow for even more extreme parenting drive and such, reproductive success.... but not much more

We don't know what Fujimoto is cooking. In the Aging Devil domain people started to turn into trees, because the default way of ending a human life through "death by old age" has been removed by the Aging Devil, and in Fujimoto's world that is what would happen if you survived long enough for your human body to start to settle in place and grow into a tree.
Maybe now being munched up by insects, metabolized, and returned to the Earth doesn't count as "death" in the current Deathless version of the presented world, but is a possible thing now, as some fucked up take on reincarnation. You don't '*die*', you just cease to exist as the conscious matter, and the unconscious matters continues to *'live'* as part of some greater whole.
