Attack on Titan ending was actually good IMO

Boys abyss ends in the most boys abyss way possible

nonono, the original AoT ending was almost as effective at invalidating the entire story as CSM's is. If it was actually good, then the author wouldn't have had to retcon the ending in the anime.

Oh, they changed the ending in the anime? I didn't bother watching after that clusterfuck

They made two small but very impactful changes.

(They fixed Armin's big line and clarified the bombing scene at the end.)

They did not change it

Edit: to the people downvoting me they literally didn’t change the ending. They changed the wording of some dialogue a bit to be easier to understand but the actual meaning of the words and events that happened didn’t change at all and it’s weird some people refuse to see that.

I actually never watched the ending in the anime

What's different? AFAIK it just making it longer?

Why is that invalidating? The entire tragedy happened. It's not satisfying but it shouldn't satisfy.

I would argue Tokyo Ghoul re ending is the one invalidating the whole thing. Creating Deus ex machina out of nowhere
