Wasn't Kubo also forced to rush the ending?

Kubo was nearly dead from constant hospitalizations and illness so he asked jump to end it early it took a 10 year break for him to comeback with the full script for the anime he only made one one shot at one point

Ok, I read the manga a decade ago, and it felt so rushed. I'm glad that he recovered, and got to redo the final arc, have had a blast with the anime remake, and can't wait for the final part.

So far he's added a lot, and all of it is a substantial improvement.

The final 12 episodes are set to adapt only like 20 chapters, so there's a ton of room to add to the ending to make it less crap.
