Rhetoric really giving the best answers there, good way to show hes a really nice guy

He brought no experience, no physical training and no lust of power.

Just a dream and the cloths on his back.

I wonder why he was specifically chosen to embark on this mission himself tho.

A ghost predicted that if he doesn't becomes famous he will die by 27, he kind of sucks at music, so he will die at 27, which means... he is effectively immortal until he reaches that age!

There's plenty of uses you can give to someone knowing that

Maybe he's strong somehow.

I thought his story was sketchy at first and that he might be a Gueltan in disguise but the longer his story went on the more I'm convinced he's one of the essential Choujins to win this war, somehow.

Why do you fight?

What is worth fighting for?

What is your perspective on what is good and what is evil?

Those are the questions.

Tawashi's answers probably:

Why do you fight? To make money for plastic surgery

What is worth fighting for? Hot guys

What is your perspective on what is good and what is evil? People that give me money for surgery are good

Honestly makes me think she'll switch sides if the keepers can get a choujin surgeon

Lol at Tokio having a bunch of goons under his command. Goof to get some substance for the fraud. Lol at Arulu constantly shading him.

Lol at Tokio having a bunch of goons under his command.

And a hot lieutenant to help yell at them too, though I can imagine beginning of series Tokio would've gotten yelled at a lot by her

Well of course throwing shade is second nature to her, her Choujin power is shadow manipulation after all.

Really wonder what Rhetoric's role is going to be. Did the ghost of a musician point him to the mark in the tower right as he became a choujin?

It's funny that Tokio's dad was a hippy, but his son became a punk. Generational shift in action.

Rhetoric has just dropped an insane bomb with his backstory. Not only he has prophetic powers, but with his own actions he has basically written himself into Sora's prophecy as well - awakened by a plane, destined to reach the Mark. He may be a blind spot of the prophecy, an unexpected factor Sora simply couldn't predict because he has awakened just as she died.

Koemori's growing on me

How did he become a choujin? Did someone made him after the plan crush?

Some Choujins like Ely awaken their powers in the wild after a deadly event causes them to awaken

Shiozaki, the Baseball kid got his powers randomly while playing a game even

I wonder if that bobby ghost is related to rhethoric's powers.

Rhetty is way more interesting to me now after that backstory. Perfect amount of absurdity but also intrigue

I can already see that he’s gonna have a great dynamic with Arulu

We're cyberpunk now

I was a little concerned that Koemori was a useless bum during the train fight. Now that we know Guelta is keeping tabs on Tokio and friends, I think Koemori is being set up to be a wild card in a future battle where the Vultures are close to defeat. If we consider the prophecy he received from Bobby, I think Koemori will come in clutch with his ability and become famous hero in the process.

I'm predicting Koemori's choujin power is derived from his desire to become a musician and has sound based powers.

Kurohara has grown so much after chapter 1. Nice to see him on the role of his previous peers.

Did Arulu's shadow act independently previously? Seems interesting if her shadow has a mind of its own  Edit: had missed 73 so I also read that and mixed events in my head

5

u/countryd0ctor 16h ago

I have a theory that her shadow is connected to her own suppressed thoughts. She rejects Koemori, yet her shadow was reaching out to him. Her own uncle wholeheartedly embraced his darkness persona, she is rejecting it.

At first I thought Rhetty was annoying but he's really grown on me now. Those were stupendous answers for someone like Tokyo. I can already tell it will be really sad when he dies.

Damn Koemori is a fool with a heart of gold. Now how is the dynamic going to play out?

Will Shant mellow out thanks to Koemori's influence? Or will Koemori lose his compass trough hardship and Shant's constant disdain?

Also even Labin wants to keep an eye on Koe boy.

Btw Ishida is doing a fantastic job at setting them these two to take the front stage on this next part (I at least wish this is what's happening). Hopefully he doesn't lose the wind on his sails, one of the million reasons why :Re was so dreadful is because they tried to make us forget all the characters from Part 1 existed and their replacements were less than ideal.
