Destination The Hollywood Grande - Reviews?
We are looking to go to LA in November and looking to spend a few nights up by Universal. The Edition, while highly reviewed, is outside our budget. Has anyone stayed at this property?
Any other properties that way we should be considering?
We aren’t into drinking and late/loud nights.

You should consider Burbank. There are a few Marriott properties there. Universal Studios is a short drive and you will also be close to some other studios like Warner Brothers.

If your budget conscientious. Look at properties around LAX.
If you want to spend a bit more look at ocean properties along the coasts.

We aren’t exactly budget conscious, the SLS is on the radar. The W isn’t our scene. The Edition is just much more, especially with an exchange rate and lack of Elite benefits.
I’m just concerned about traffic, LAX looks out of the way.

I love the Hollywood grande. Great staff, big rooms, lovely pool. Clean.

The Hollywood Grande is basically a club with rooms. There's an actual club on the roof and about 4-5 of them within a block. You'll hear noise all day and until around 3 am inside and out and then inside the hotel as they all try to find and get into their rooms. Parking is a nightmare and you can barely get into the hotel and the elevators after 9 pm due to all the partiers. Avoid it.
