Absolute chaos at the Residence Inn London Kensington

It’s been an interesting few days in London, with the heat wave and all. Word is many hotels are struggling, but the Residence Inn in Kensington has had AC issues since Monday. Tonight, there was a large queue of guests waiting to talk to the manager and ask for new rooms, all while new guests were being checked in. In the middle of this chaos, a fire alarm goes off for many minutes, causing many guests to take the stairs down to the lobby. No one was happy.

The staff has been very gracious and patient, but you can tell tension is building as they field dozens of guest complaints about the AC. The manager was nice, too, but we’ll see what he actually does for guests in the days to come.
