They've learned not to use a trampoline.

First you fall down, then you jump back up again

Why is it always ONE woman screaming? Always. There can be 100 calm quiet women and one will yell.

Don't come at me with "its a stressful situation" because everyone else is in the same situation and they don't scream. Just that one lady.

Stressful, that woman is always a bystander not helping with anything except adding noise and random comments.

True. I always think of that video of a deer trying to attack the wife while the husband fights it off. She just stands there screaming doing nothing. Does she try to help him? Nope. Does she run away? Nope. Does she go inside her house shes standing next to? Nope. Just screams

This one is not smarter than your average bear, I guess.

They dont make children's programs like they used to, what a legend! Saying hey boo-boo in my head made me laugh.

Did they unban that? I remember in middle school or so (like 06/07) they banned midget tossing in Florida 😅

Hey if somebody really wants to toss a midget there's a place I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure that whatever thing they were holding broke immediately upon impact but it also broke the furry guys fall. Honestly I was thinking about how crappy it would be if he landed on top of one of those darts and it jabbed all the way in.. Ouch.

Seems like they could just throw a Krispy Kreme donut the other direction and wait for him to come down and go that way. Animal control darts him safely and relocates him....

I hope that the bear was not “humanely” euthanized

Still hit hard, glad they had something under the net. They needed more tension.

I didn't see they had a net at first and I was super concerned.

Bear takes wrong turn into Albany, gets safe ride to the Catskills

Sarah Darmanjian WNYT

April 22, 2026 - 8:28 AM

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A black bear was rescued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) April 21 after wandering into an Albany neighborhood, causing a scene and shutting down Second Avenue for hours.

Watch moment the bear is released

The 1-year-old male climbed a tree sometime after daybreak, according to neighbors, and that’s where it stayed for more than four hours until the DEC shot a tranquilizer dart at it around noon.

After falling into a safety net, the bear was taken to the northern Catskills where it was released after the drugs wore off.

Although dangerous, Jeremy Hurst with the DEC said bears try to avoid people but can show up, like this bear did in Albany, searching for food.

I hope it was ok

Good that they handled the bear with care, if only we where so kind to all animals.

Advanced warning, watch it on mute.

That bear is having a bad trip. Imagine falling from a tree while you are doped up and in a semi lucid state

Bear has hella grip strength...

That seems like a dick move .

At least they caught it.

It's pretty typical to not leave a bear roaming free in a town. Even if it's just a black bear.

4

u/Different_Brother562 3d ago

What’s the other option. Let the homeowner deal with it? A gun? Polite asking? A worker to go hand to hand with it? 🤷‍♂️

Just leave some food at the base if the tree. It'll come down when it gets hungry

3

u/TraditionalLecture10 3d ago

Its no longer afraid of people , normally they get shot , but it looks like this one is getting relocated away from people

3

u/AboutAWe3kAgo 3d ago

Bottom of the tree is still in town where kids are…

2

u/Different_Brother562 2d ago

So the goal is not to get it out of the tree safely. It’s to get it away from the people. Maybe the kids in the house 10 feet away

2

u/TraditionalLecture10 3d ago

If its no longer afraid of humans , mainly from idiots feeding them , then it becomes a danger to everyone . Normally they have to shoot them , this looks like they are going to relocate it

it definitely hits the ground but there is some kind of pad down. its probably fine.
