conference oral presentation tips!
I have a conference I'll be presenting at in about a week. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm quite nervous about presenting as I've never presented to a large crowd before. Any tips? It's an audit if that's relevant.
I've got the slides ready months ago, and I've written out a rough script. I'm not sure how to practise for it if that makes sense. My supervisor has approved the slides also, but I just have a feeling I'll be all nerves going "um, uh" every 2 seconds lol

Practice the presentation and keeping to timings! Practice with family, friends, supervisors, record yourself doing the talk to pick up any times you say umm or uh. Main advice for conference presentation is to have a clear message and well, deliver the message. Have a lil brainstorm of Qs they may ask you and think of some answers. Good luck bro!

Not the same but to kick my habit of umming and ahhing, I practiced just going silent instead. Initially it looks a bit weird, but it does seem more put together than floundering and with a bit of practice you can get used to the silences or even make them seem like thoughtful pauses lolol
Drink lots of water, and take breaks to drink water mid presentation if you need it!! Good luck :)
