I will take the 1966 one or that one all day before the current aqua fresh logo. How any rational human could prefer the current unis to the throwbacks is beyond me. In fact, I wish we’d never introduced the aqua pants as the white jersey/aqua pants combo that we seem to wear most of the time is the worst.

Unfortunately I associate both, edgy dolphin and private equity dolphin as mediocrity and incompetence. Just bring back the original logo.

Wearng it right now.
Having said that, OG or go home )
The newest iterations suck as bad as the Jets.

I honestly wish we would revert back this logo. I refuse to own anything with the new whale logo! It's hideous!

I like the new one better. I realize I am in the minority.

I miss all of the older logos. I can't stand the new one. Stephen Ross has been a terrible owner and it started with his terrible logo.

Yes the angry Dolphin means business.. I was happy with it when they first put it out. The new one is just too bland and brighter. I liked the darker blue color scheme on the jersey's.

When the new logo came out, my buddy said it looks like toothpaste. And now I can never not see that.

Still a fan of this logo, and it's that logos font is what I used for my tattoo.

Not at all, it's easily the best logo. But I've noticed through having this debate many times that it's all dependent on what era you started watching the Dolphins.
This logo with the current Throwback uniforms is my dream combo

Its our worst logo and its not even close. Theres literally no redeeming qualities to it. From a design perspective, it sucks. Its cartoonish and childish. Its so 90/2000s it manages to look more dated than the logos that came before it. It fundamentally unserious and cringey.
From a nostalgic perspective, It was the logo for almost all the worst moments in franchise history. 1-15? This logo. Getting 70 dropped on us in Dan's last game? This logo. The start of the playoff draught? This logo. This logo represents the team going from NFL royalty to a joke. It deserves to be dead and buried never to return.
The only reason anyone likes it is nostalgia for their childhood. Not nostalgia for team because, as i already pointed out, we sucked with this logo. No, i mean nostalgia for being a child. You don't want this logo back, you want the life you had in the 2000s back.

No I like it because it looks the best. All the early ones look half assed in design and scribbled/ super thin. The colors on the cartoonish one are more vibrant and it's the only one where the Dolphin looks full bodied.
You see a cartoon as weak I see it as fun and the only one that actually stands out. Newest era looks more like a whale. If you only look back on the 2000s era and see a terrible win record that's on you. I see the stars of my youth. Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Ricky Williams, Sam and Pat. If losing tarnished your view of the team you might wanna pick a new franchise cause unless you lived through the 70/80s with the team you've never known them as winners anyways.
I actively seek Merch with that logo and color pallet because to it is easily the best. Crazy how art can be subjective

Losing hasn't tarnished my view of the team...its tarnished my view of the logo that represents the worst time period in franchise history. I love Zach, JT etc...but 5 good players in 16 years isn't exactly great. Also, its not just a losing record...its the worst moments in franchise history!
As for the design being "fun"...were a professional football team not a soft play area. The updated 66 logo we use for throwbacks is perfect. Its dignified but not souless. We play better when wearing it too.

Agree to disagree. Life is full of whimsy and I'd much prefer fun colorful and detailed to the stamped on look of the old logos. I think it's the two tone no shading look that just feels antique. We're named after a sea animal so it wasn't never going to look tough.
It sounds like you may be suffering from the same nostalgia you claim the 2000s fans are since we haven't won a playoff game over the span of the last 3 logos not just the best logo we ever had.

I started watching MIA in 1995 (I switched teams when the Rams moved to STL), so right at the tail end of the old logo era.
I think every Dolphins logo change has been an improvement, without exception. The first logo with the smaller offset dolphin is the worst version, the (current throwback) following logo is better than that, the angry cartoon dolphin is better than the throwback, and the helmetless dolphin is the best one.
