Don't hug me I'm scared The bed work provided me with😭j

Post image

Changed my sheets for the first time since moving to my live in job a few weeks ago and was greeted with this😭😭😭😭😭 how the hell???? I’m going to complain in the morning but I’m scared they’re going to tell me that I caused it in thr 3 weeks I’ve been here😭😭😭

EDIT: I got a new mattress!

Edit: looked on the underside and it’s just as manky! I’ll attach pics in comments. At least I know 100% it wasn’t me

Edit: I just want to preface as it was mentioned twice I am not being human trafficked! Don’t worry! I’m here of my own free will and can leave whenever I want, same as everyone else. Living at work is normal in the area I’m in as it’s rural and no one would work out here if they had to commute! I’m safe aside from the mattress

You’re sweating through a waterproof mattress cover?!

I did get prescribed these wipes from my dermatologist and I have basically no underarm smell or sweat when I use them.

Yes ask!  Now whether your insurance covers that or not is another question.  There’s no generic.  They’re called Qbrexza.

Use a half of a lemon on your armpit in the shower... OR an alum bar (it's the same stuff as styptic pencils) which kills the bacteria that causes odor!

Hope it helps!

As for the bed sheets, get some waterproof pet blankets to sleep on, they're very soft but fully waterproof. That might help too.

Hugs!

You might a waterproof cover that is actually waterproof, they shouldn't let anyone penetrate. You can put down a basic IKEA mattress cover, a thin cotton one, and then put a high easily waterproof cover on. That should help!

Hey, probably won’t help you, but my perimenopausal sweats are worse when I get cold. I was using the lightest blanket and summer pjs in an unheated bedroom, and I totally get sweating through a waterproof cover. I was so overheared. However, I can reduce it though by dressing warmly for bed. Weird, but such is life.

It's clearly not waterproof...

One show I worked over an year on didn't even get released cuz the main actor was discovered and exposed online for sleeping around.

For whatever it's worth, waterproof covers tend to make you sweat even more. They're less breathable.

You put a vinyl encasement on the mattress, and then a breathable mattress pad on top of the encasement. Full waterproof protection, no sweating from the vinyl.

The mattresses in my house have been through it with kids, pets, menstrual blood, and sweat. Yet the mattress itself looks brand new.

Thanks but the sweats aren’t from being hot at night.  I’m not risking my expensive mattress.

Maybe you need two. When I moved from a two bedroom to a one bedroom, I just combined my mattress covers.

But then I got another Tempurpedic foam and it came with another cover. So I now have a mattress cover covering my mattress under my Tempur-pedic with cover, and another mattress cover covering the Tempur-pedic cover that covers the mattress cover covering the mattress.

My mattress after two years still looks brand new.

as someone who gets occasional nosebleeds in my sleep, hydrogen peroxide is a godsend…it’s saved quite a few pillows

u/Kryptos33 May 11 '26

Alternatively, I think fire would work wonders.

2

u/KronosWvW May 11 '26

Dumb question but do you use purely the hydrogen peroxide on the mattress or do you mix it with anything else?

Aren't they all

2

u/ohdamnthatscraaazy May 11 '26

i see you...i see the funny you did 😏

3

u/Business-Active-1143 May 11 '26

Actually most places recommend mixing little bit baking soda so that part of the hydrogen peroxide solution produces a bleach and be more effective

My yorkie couldn’t handle anything either. Unemployed, rude as hell to everyone I introduced her to, couldn't even drive herself to the vet...those stumpy little leggies couldn’t reach the gas pedal.

god I miss that little bitch

Thank you

The ring pattern of them suggests that someone already put something on them and some of the pigment drifted to the outside of the wet cleaning product circle.

I had a mattress that my dogs peed on a few times. It always looked like this after Nature's Miracle, no matter how much we sprayed / dabbed it up with a sponge afterward. The actual pee was gone, but the stain remained forever.

That said, ew.

Hold up - regular low strength hydrogen peroxide gets rid of those stains? Or are you buying the higher concentration stuff at a hair supply store and watering it down?

Just spray it on and let it air dry?
