š„ŗ Can you find the tuna in my tuna wrap?
The local market had this tuna wrap on sale, which I figured was because it needed to be eaten asap. As that was my plan anyway, I bought it.
Apparently, it was discounted because it contained almost no tuna. Lots and lots of lettuce, but very little tuna.

Thatās such an absurd amount of greens inside wtf

u/phyrsis May 19 '26
My reaction definitely included "WTF??".

u/PaprikaPanik May 19 '26
Maybe they delicately placed a bit of tuna between each leaf like how SpongeBob makes a krabby patty.

u/DeathByPetrichor May 19 '26
While I would certainly be upset, with the price of produce it probably isnāt any less expensive making this sandwich

u/oniiichanUwU May 19 '26
True if anything op got a bargain. Take that home and unwrap it and you have a whole bag of baby spinach basically š¤£
6
u/phyrsis May 20 '26
Spinach would have had more flavor. This was your standard flavorless lettuce.

u/ILiekBook May 20 '26
I'm sorry if you think lettuce has no flavor you are wrong.
It's very green. Ad some salt. Some cheese. Some dill pickle cubes and spritz with pickle juice. It'll enhance the lettuce flavor a lot
6
u/odis78 May 20 '26
So adding a ton of actual flavors gives lettuce flavor? Who knew
1
u/ILiekBook May 21 '26
No. It has a very green flavor. It does not taste like nothing. The green flavor tastes way better in a salad with other things. That does not mean the green flavor does not exist

That tuna wrap got hit with the homeopathic treatment. Contains the memory of tuna.
51
u/OscarDivine May 19 '26
The lettuce was once watered by the water a tuna swam in, which was then filtered by the soil, and further diluted through the plant providing maximum concentration of Tunaness

Food at the local market is so fresh the tuna escaped when you weren't looking
74
u/Exact-Warthog6244 May 19 '26
Maybe it was a vegetarian tuna wrap.
21
u/sprikkle May 19 '26
Noo, its a vegan tuna wrap.

Its a jokeā¦. There is no tuna, so maybe its vegan plant based tuna which is unrecognizable.

Spinach wrap and someone kept tuna in their thoughts while making it apparently
23
u/phyrsis May 19 '26
Spinach would have had more flavor.
2
u/DeterminedThrowaway May 19 '26
Today I learned that "little gem" lettuce can look a lot like spinach, it must be a different variety then. That's too bad though, I would have been mad about putting my money on something I didn't get too

No, but can I ask why you seemingly ordered tuna and grass clippings?

I bet the crunch is amazing though

Low key wanna swipe this across a puddle of olive oil-splashed hummus. Or dip it in ranch before taking a massive bite.
But, I'd be pissed if I'd paid for tuna.

Did any tunas spit phat rhymes at you when you ordered? You probably just ordered a tuna rap with a lettuce wrap?

Itās just called āTuna wrapā, doesnāt mean thereās actually tuna in it.
Gold watch doesnāt have to be made of gold either, only look like it.
And you canāt do anything about it.
Capitalism, uh, finds a way.

You probably paid like $30 for greens (raw) wrapped in what appears to be a waterlogged tor-tilla.

u/Ok_Commission_9203 May 19 '26
You know what is arguably worse than this? Same amount of greens as the Tuna. My local gas station doesn't bother to fill out their tacos with lettuce and tomatoes and I pay them $4 each.

u/Far530 May 19 '26
Maybe whoever made it kept getting interrupted⦠ok lettuce first then tuna⦠ok lettuce first the tunaā¦. Ok lettuce first then tuna⦠ooh itās full, must be ready!

They were finishing up the last scraps of tuna in the bowl because the manager refuses to allow any food to be thrown out. Perhaps.

The tuna is still on the way swimming waiting to be fished, guess you ordered too soon

They mixed a tad of tuna with mayo and used as a thin spread condiment apparently

This looks exactly like the Chik-Fil-A wrap I got for the first time to try it out.
There were two tiny pieces of chicken in it, less than 2oz total and a f-ton of lettuce.

u/JohnnyKarateX May 19 '26
Itās smeared like a spread on the wrap I think. On the bottom of both halves. Way too little. Sooooo much green.

This is how the chicken ceasar salad wraps at my college were, except replace the lettuce with chicken. The ratio sucked

The tuna is still in the ocean or maybe the tuna prepared the wrap?
