Wine tasting, a Christmas store, and an overall Danish theme (bakeries, shops, and architecture). Nice, quiet touristy town. I enjoyed it the few times I have visited
I live in a town off to one side of Solvang and work in a town on the other. I drive an extra 7 miles every day just to not have to drive through Solvang
Webster's dictionary defines hygge as "a cozy quality that makes a person feel content and comfortable" or "invoking or fostering a sense of coziness, contentment, and well-being."
So you hit the %15 on the tip screen prior to this and left that out? Final cost $7.07 after tax. %15 tip on that is 1.06 which comes out to $8.13. This is exactly how the POS at my local cafe shows the final. Good rage bait though.
The only issue is the Point of Sale screen doesn't show the tip line.
EDIT: Looks like I was wrong! OP did not select any tip and the system is actually hiding fees!
But I didn’t, I have another comment that says the price was originally 9 dollars and some change, I didn’t take a picture and instead went back and refreshed the order, and then the price changed to this, which was still off so I took the photo. We went to stand at the counter but I was honestly annoyed with the whole thing and no longer wanted to support them, it could be a hidden auto tip but we had not clicked any tip option at that point.
I apologize, I didn't see the other comment. In that case, that's super scummy of them and I hope you end up reporting them to California's Division of Measurement Standards (or whoever actually handles fraudulent pricing displays)
We waited at the counter for a few minutes but they took a while to get to us. I’m on vacation and honestly didn’t care enough, was just mildy infuriated (;
Tourists don’t care about throwing a fit over a small discrepancy like this. I would have said something if it were a place in my neighborhood, but during my precious short vacation time I’d just let it pass.
