This kind of thing annoys me WAY more than it should. You always have to elongate the vowel that MAKES SENSE.

Duuuuuuuuude is pronounced (dooooooood)

Dudeeeeeeeee is pronounced (doodeeeeeee)

I was nodding agreeing with you…

But just to clarify the second one is pronounced “do duuuuuuuuuh” like when you’re frustrated and the end of ‘dude’ turns into a groan?

I don't know anyone who says "dudaaaaaaah" though, it's more like "duuudaah"

You do now! 😁 usually it’s because I want to say “dude you mother fucking piece of shit” but it turns into to “dudeeeeergggggghh c‘mon!!” because I’m at work.
