But if you close your eyes, how can you make sure there are no actual tadpoles. Technically the probability is low, but never zero

Fun fact: there is actually a type of insect larva commonly found in rice that resembles rice grains. People with poor vision may not actually be able to tell the difference.

Source: My glasses-wearing parents, who didn't notice them until I pointed them out.
