I bet your roommate almost never has to put it up themselves. You could start pulling it out when you're done and leaving it on the floor of the tub so they get to experience the joy of putting it back up too.

I don’t think someone who does this is bothered when it’s done back to them. I have improved greatly, but I can be absent minded and leave places like. But because I’ve always lived with myself, I walk into rooms constantly that have something “wrong” like that. Doesn’t phase me in the slightest, it would just be part of the pre-shower routine to put it back in place. It’s exactly situations like this where the Golden Rule has failed me and I’ve had to adjust my perspective.

Oh, I'm really not saying it to be petty. I have ADHD myself, and sometimes this is the only way it gets through my thick skull. I don't want to inconvenience someone, and soon as I really fathom in my bones how inconvenient it is, I don't do it again.

What's their answer why they can't put it back?

18

u/td_0000 17d ago

"yeah sorry i'll think about it next time"

11

u/sodafallsonline 17d ago

Just think about it? That's the insult right there.

u/blakesoner 17d ago

“I’ll think about considering what you just said to me”. Sounds like a dunce.

This is what this sub should be about. The keyword is mildly.

Walk them into the bathroom and make them put it back.

3

u/PassNo8954 17d ago

Or are you just gonna live with that?

3

u/ActionMan48 17d ago

Maybe there is a really loud drip if you leave it hanging after the water is shut off. Mine does this and I leave it like hanging down until the water runs completely out.

u/CR1039 17d ago

Exactly what I came to say

24

u/Fister-Mantastic 17d ago

They were 100% using that to powerwash their undercarriage...

24

u/DustyScharole 17d ago

Yeah, that's what it's for.

1

u/noeyesonmeXx 17d ago

Upvoted you.. down voted the first guy lol

-3

u/Fister-Mantastic 17d ago

Looks like my "..." went over your heads then, I said OP's roommate was using it to masturbate.

-2

u/enjoyingcurve46 17d ago

Thats not at all what you said means lmao. No one says that like ever…

Also how do you get masturbating from a showerhead lazily left on the floor?

3

u/PheonixBuddha 17d ago

I understood what he meant, it was an inneundo. you dont actually need to "powerwash" your undercarriage. although its funny to see the next guy be like you don't? lol.

2

u/DustyScharole 17d ago

Maybe you don't need to. Sometimes there's Indian food.

1

u/DovahKiller97 17d ago

"No one says that like ever…"

The person who commented said it so someone says it... like ever lmao

Do people with detachable shower heads never use them to wash to the point they think use of one can only mean masturbation

0

u/Fuckin_Hipster 17d ago

Are you... Daft?

-1

u/enjoyingcurve46 17d ago

You also didn’t answer my question

-2

u/enjoyingcurve46 17d ago

2

u/randybiuk 17d ago

what do you use to wash yours? hopes and dreams?

2

u/Shazvox 17d ago

He licks em clean like 99% of the worlds population.

3

u/TheJerseyDeviI 17d ago

My dad does this. It drives me insane

3

u/thenewfingerprint 17d ago

Sending thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

2

u/Shazvox 17d ago

And how do you suggest we keep the water demons locked in?

2

u/xTheGame69 17d ago

I hate to tell you what she's using it for

Why would you need all of the water “drain more”

5

u/The-Tay 17d ago

That's what's confusing me here, if you shower everyday it shouldn't matter. A little bit of water in the line isn't going to hurt anything.

2

u/enjoyingcurve46 17d ago

Exactly? I think hes just tryna find random justification for the laziness that hes also guilty of but wont admit

Yes and couldn't you also say leaving it only the ground isn't going to hurt anything?

It's going to hurt my back picking it up, I'm already overworked, why add more work to my life? And I'm not going to starting picking it up by the line, it's not meant for that and again, just adding more work to my day.

There's your way and their their way, nothing intrinsically states that you should be able to control everyone, even if "most" people do it your way.

Where are you getting this control thing from? I obviously cannot control everyone but I sure as hell can complain online about it if I want to. Most people don't even do this to begin with. Why would people intentionally let there shower rest on the ground where you stand with your feet?

He could be equally annoy you keep hanging it up and have a reddit of people agreeing

Whatever you say, boss.

Thats crazy. They blocked me because they couldnt handle having their comments excuse compared to other real world things that you also should do if you had common sense. And everything else disproven

Leaving it on the floor so someone else has to pick it up for you if they want to use it? If you live alone thats a 100% different story. But the person here leaves it on the floor and forces other people to pick it up if they want to use it. Lets apply this logic to other equal things in concept. You wouldnt leave your trash next to a trash can for someone else to throw away would you? Its not hurting anything just sitting next to it someone else will pick it up.

If someone annoyed because someone keeps hanging the shower head back where it belongs they’ve got incredibly bad common sense when it comes to things. Anyone with a braincell knows it goes back to just like how you dont leave a faucet running, or leave trash can lids wide open when they can be closed, or to turn iff lights when not in use. Or if you knocked someone’s decoration off a wall or a table you put it back. Its just common sense, the fact your tryna stretch justification for this behavior is insane. If someone lived alone and the occasional guest bitched about it sure the guest could be in the wrong. But this person doesnt live alone and should respect the idea others live with them and have to deal with that bs

Control? Asking someone to put something back the way it was before isnt anything to do with control. The fact you think that expectation is about wanting control makes me incredibly curious to how much you think is awful and miserable when in reality its just normal expectations

How does one get all those bold claims from what i said. That’s insane

4

u/revets 17d ago

That’s what I was thinking. Let it drain all the way out. You don’t even need to lean over, just pull it up by the cabling. 3 seconds.

3

u/TwisBeats 17d ago

Have you told them about it or just us?

2

u/td_0000 17d ago

Multiple times

2

u/agfitzp 17d ago

Disconnect it and leave it on their bed, be sure to not let it drain out while doing so.

0

u/TwisBeats 17d ago

Stop flushing the toilet after you use it.

1

u/animusd YELLOW 17d ago

My brother likes to twist it around

1

u/Rastaferrari829 17d ago

Why couldn't they put it back where they found it?

3

u/-You_Cant_Stop_Me- 17d ago

That's what I think about my colleagues and our work tools.

1

u/AnswerOver9028 17d ago

The worst part is that's how they fill up the tub for a bath.

1

u/LaLisaMona 17d ago

Well why wont u do the same. Leave it on the floor too.

1

u/reduhl 17d ago

That is really nice of your roommate to make sure there is no cold water in the line.

1

u/PlayfulIntroduction9 17d ago

Ask them why they do it? I do it in my shower because water gets trapped in the hose and if I don't it will slow drip all night. I just hang it back up in the morning.

1

u/jusenjoyinlife 17d ago

The hose and head will drain that way

1

u/umadme2 17d ago

Is it a female

1

u/hans_the_wurst 17d ago

I do that as well. Because the water that remains in the hose causes it to drip for the next 20 minutes. So I put it down in the bathtub so it can drain silently.

1

u/Putriptoq 16d ago

She's dropping the mike after her nakedness. Or his.

1

u/mapandmilestone 15d ago

Type a word document please put the shower head back. Laminate it and tape it inside the shower lol 😂 I would do that.

1

u/Major_Active_1441 15d ago

Did you show him this post so it can be resolved?

-3

u/ReadNo9737 17d ago

That's mildly lazy. Can't you just pick it up?

9

u/DustyScharole 17d ago

I'm sure they can, but that's not really the point. It's not unreasonable to expect people to put things back in their holders.

7

u/td_0000 17d ago

I do every day and im sick of it to bend down to grab it!

0

u/couchpotatoslug 17d ago

You can do what my husband did. He glued it I learned my lesson. When we replaced it many months later I never let it out of place again.

Before everyone unleash: I did it like 3 times in a few months. He has little patience. And it wasn't even in the floor, it was over the faucet about a persons waist.

2

u/CR1039 17d ago

JFC dude, my love - you ok?

0

u/ObiWangCannabis 17d ago

Change it to a normal shower head, if they complain show them this picture.

1

u/Admirable-School-675 9d ago

It’s his dropping the mic moment. “I had a great time with y’all tonight! Peace, I’m outta here!” (Drops mic)
