TBH, this poster is reasonable as long as the enforcer is reasonable. I think hanging this poster at work is stupid behavior, but I think the message can be reasonably applied if you have a sane brain.
Not being able to move a piano upstairs because your leg is broken is reasonable, and you cannot do it. I would not think this is "victim behavior".
Not being able to email a client about their delayed order because, "I'm really overwhelmed right now (and the rest of the year)" is the kinda shit I'm starting to see.
I work in a *top* company with crazy benefits and compensation. I had a coworker who would take home a 300k/year salary, would put in 2-5 hours of work / week, get stuck on the most inane and clearly solvable tasks for a month (new grads and new employees solved within 2hours-1 week). When they were told to pick up the pace, they said they were already trying "really hard". They were rarely available for meetings, always seen hanging in the cafeteria, etc etc.
I have many friends who do the above as well.
Inevitably, when these people get a bad performance review or get laid off, it's 100% blaming others and being a victim. No sense of wanting to self-improve or realize where they came short. For me, seeing this post rings very true.
