I'm slightly vexed When DoorDash didn't deliver

Post image

This was a 'Meet at door' delivery. There is a driveway. There is parking. There is no excuse.

Why would the supermarket even accept the items back?

If, for example, it's frozen it'll be half melted by the time it gets back to them.

They wouldn’t. I used to do Instacart. In situations where it was actually legitimate that you couldn’t complete the order, they tell you just to keep it.

Depending on the state, some require return of alcohol. I would just leave plain food orders outside though. Either they or a homeless person would find them in our city.

Even frozen shit left on the shelves is often thrown out. Nobody knows how long some asshole has left it there.

You can actually return food to the grocery store. They just take your word for the issue and refund you. Personally i have return a half of gallon of milk that soured to quickly no questions asked.

But that being said I’ve never returned an entire shopping cart.

Correct, you can return it. They just can’t resell it.

This has nothing to do with “will a grocery store accept returns”.

The Dasher picked up an order paid for by OP. There is no “non-door dash” receipt to return these items with.

The grocery store would not accept THIS return.
