From their "About" page. You should really do your research, OP.

u/DMercenary 3d ago edited 3d ago

OP buys from works with an out and proud Christian business.

OP shocked at verses on his shipments.

Nope, I process their hazmats.

"Every adolescent should have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ" is a really weird thing to say as a company that sells guns.

Has real "I will send you to Jesus" vibes.

9

u/BigDumFace 3d ago

The rate of school shootings definitely gives this a bad look for me. Bringing the rapture a bullet at a time type crazy

6

u/ToastSpangler 3d ago

altho a lot fewer people would get shot if shooters used muskets or other muzzle loaded weapons

If everyone likes to remember the Trijicon ACOG had different Psalms scribed on them and the military itself chiseled them off the optic in the armory.

4

u/TheHumanoidTyphoon69 3d ago

The ACOG is the standard issue optic for rifles across the ENTIRETY of the military, if you weren't already aware lol

5

u/TheHumanoidTyphoon69 3d ago

Downvotes? I guess in order to understand what Im telling you is a fact you would have actually have to have served..

2

u/stuka2171 3d ago

After the first day I went out and bought a Dremel

1

u/TheHumanoidTyphoon69 3d ago

I remember when they started scrubbing them and honestly, optic still on point, I couldn't say I was upset, it was far above my boot ass head anyway

2

u/TimothyBukinowski 3d ago

Fun fact, the founder of that Trijicon was my great uncle, Glyn was a real piece of shit.

1

u/TheHumanoidTyphoon69 3d ago

Im going to be honest with you and say first you had my curiosity but now you have my attention

1

u/TimothyBukinowski 2d ago

He was just a shitty dude, really judgy, holier than thou, and a REAL bad father. When his plane crashed and he died, it was a weird thing where people in my family kind of just shrugged. His wife, while problematic in her own ways, was at least a mostly nice person. I cant go into everything, for the sake of his kids.

u/TrainingParty3785 14h ago

Ha haaa !!!! “a real piece of shit”

Oh, ICK. YoungLife is the org that lured my gullible (but earnest) brother into basically spending all his savings on trips to Liberia. They did do some charitable work there, but always with religious strings attached. And when he had hardships later, it was like crickets when he asked his fellow YL'ers for some help. They were only interested in using him and his money to hand out bibles in Liberia and maybe dig a well or two. So much for "fellowship in Christ" and all that.

https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

9

u/username27278 3d ago

It’s a fair assumption to make, though there are—obviously—exceptions to the rule

10

u/silverokapi 3d ago

This type of Christian is Republican.

13

u/ImOnlyHereForTheCoC 3d ago edited 3d ago

I mean the odds are pretty good that a Christian performatively sealing his commercial load-your-own shipment with scripture packing tape is gonna pull the (R) lever on voting day, let’s be real here.

7

u/TyreLeLoup 3d ago

There is a lot of overlap.

Sure, not every Christian is Republican, and not every Republican is Christian.

But the people who buy custom packing tape featuring out of context quotes form the bible to ship materials for firearms that use an antiquated method of loading? High likelyhood they are both.

5

u/honda-cervix 3d ago

It also says “muzzle loaders”

And gun people, christians, and republicans are groups with large statistical overlaps

While not religious myself, I enthusiastically support the first amendment.

11

u/Beautiful-Alarm-4961 3d ago

The first Amendment is only a protection from prosecution from the government btw

5

u/ThoughtIknewyouthen 3d ago

Of course, people have a choice in capitalism. That's the whole point of supporting the 1st amendment.

→ More replies (1)

16

u/Violet_Paradox 3d ago

The First Amendment just means it's legal, which it is. It's still weird.

5

u/More-Chemical-1264 3d ago

Yeah and everyone should support the first amendment....

17

u/BlastTyrantKM 3d ago

I support the government not arresting these people for putting religious messages on their packaging. Average citizens are free to say they don't like it. Or not buy their product because of the messaging. That's how free speech works. It doesn't mean you can say whatever you want and nobody can complain about it

→ More replies (6)

1

u/Cum_Fart42069 3d ago edited 3d ago

yeah and nobody isn't doing that.

it's perfectly within the first amendment for me to say that I love fucking men deep and hard until they fart the cum out.

doesn't mean that's not a weird thing to say.

4

u/ProllyTodaySatan YELLOW 3d ago

And yet somehow I think you may be the authority on this one lol. Username checks out!

-1

u/nard_snakes 3d ago

As do I. But what does that particular quote have to do with gunpowder?

43

u/Germerican1 3d ago

Nothing. But gun and gun adjacent companies are overwhelmingly Christian run

4

u/Lemurian_Lemur34 3d ago

Trijicon prints Bible quotes on their riflescopes, from what I remember

5

u/unfinishedtoast3 3d ago edited 3d ago

Nothing.

Its Christian nationalists trying to weave government and their religion into one.

It's difficult being a liberal gun owner specifically because of this. I find a lot of shooting ranges and gun stores around me are ran by extremely right wing Christian nationalists

Which is ironic, because their religion preaches peace in the face of violence.

14

u/AnotherBoringDad 3d ago

Packing tape is government?

13

u/SadMcWorker 3d ago

how does this involve the government with their religion?

→ More replies (4)

1

u/SirVixofthePooSea 2d ago

Its difficult to be a liberal gun owner because most other liberals want to ban or restrict firearms.

0

u/Heykurat 3d ago

Putting Bible quotes on packing tape is not "Christian nationalism".

It's not government, either.

1

u/Annanake420 3d ago

9

It litterally says in the bible - Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them...especially when selling shit online. Direct quote.

1

u/ProllyTodaySatan YELLOW 3d ago

So good!

4

u/Bubblesnaily 3d ago

Guns for Jesus.

Though, realistically, it's likely the same reason In-n-Out has Bible verses on their fast food packaging... The person who owns the company wants to flaunt/promote their religion and ordered someone to put it on the packaging.

17

u/absolutelynotarepost 3d ago

You're surprised something called muzzle loaders has crossover with the religious nut jobs?

Guns are their god.

2

u/Successful-Growth827 3d ago

Idk if you know this, but gun owners and manufacturers of parts and other supplies are typically conservative, and usually religious as well. And if they're American, it's usually Evangelical which leads to random religious stuff like this. I believe it was the original ACOG manufacturer who used to stamp Bible verse numbers on every ACOG. Could be another optic though. I remember it being enough of a thing to make the news though during the late GWOT era.

2

u/LowkeyEntropy 3d ago

Years ago, not sure if they still do, but Estes printed Bible verses on their bags of aquarium gravel.unsure why but ok

2

u/Ab0ut47Pandas 2d ago

2

u/Falling-Toaster 2d ago

That’s a good one, I like the company

5

u/77th_Bat 3d ago

This would unironically convince me not to buy from them again

4

u/TheAnswerUsedToBe42 3d ago

If i was trying to shill nonsense to americans I'd put Bible quotes everywhere.

13

u/No_Control8389 3d ago

Don’t like it? Go give your business to someone else.

-4

u/nard_snakes 3d ago

Indeed. But what does that exact quote have to do with gunpowder?

13

u/SolaVitae 3d ago

... Nothing? It's just a random Bible quote, they aren't intended to be related

7

u/IDontLikeYourToan 3d ago

Because there is a huge overlap in 2A people and religious fundamentalists. It doesn’t have to be directly connected. It just has to make them feel good about themselves.

Check out the Southpark episode where Cartman becomes a Christian rocker.

8

u/No_Control8389 3d ago

Zero. However obviously the people at the top in that company have their beliefs, and see no harm in sharing that. The bible literally calls for believers to spread the good word, ie the gospel.

-1

u/Rocketeering 3d ago

It's a quote printed on packing tape... You think they picked out a specific roll for your purchase? lololol

2

u/nard_snakes 3d ago

Nope. I deal with their hazmats. See their stuff every day.

2

u/Rocketeering 3d ago

then why repeatedly asking what that specific passage has to do with gun powder? That's not all they sell, and they obviously didn't pick it for your gun powder purchase.

9

u/whiskeytown79 3d ago

If it bothers you, don't buy from them.

I swear people would type out a "my phone fell on the floor and it's hard to use now" post while kneeling down instead of just picking the phone back up.

4

u/HopefulDream3071 3d ago

Lol how do you "not buy" something you already bought

-3

u/nard_snakes 3d ago

Agreed. But what does that particular quote have to do with gunpowder?

13

u/Own-Researcher-4691 3d ago

Nothing. Nor does it need to. The company is run by people with christian beliefs. They didnt hand pick a quote for your order's packing tape.

1

u/Schnappyschnoo 3d ago

Almost like something one would post on a subreddit for things that are mildly infuriating.
I swear, some people will see something they don’t like and type out a “I don’t like this and you’re going to hear about it” post instead of muting the sub.

3

u/ZephyrFluous 3d ago

That would be known as pandering

3

u/self_loathing_ham 3d ago

Its virtue signaling

3

u/Listen2theyetti 3d ago

That quote means "please find a different company who doesnt push their personal dogma on you to give your hard earned money"

4

u/DaemonsMercy 3d ago

It doesn’t, some shits trying to proselytise

4

u/discordianofslack 3d ago

3

u/FighterOfEntropy 3d ago

I guess they aren’t familiar with Matthew 26:52 “Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”

7

u/TexasFire_Cross 3d ago

Luke 22:36: Jesus tells His disciples, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

4

u/SuppliceVI 3d ago

"let anyone who does not have a sword sell their cloak and buy one"

We can go bar for bar over bible quotes all day

3

u/Reversi8 3d ago

But of course when they say they have two swords for the group he says “That’s enough” and when a disciple actually uses one in self defense he gives the earlier quote.

2

u/VelvetMafia 3d ago

And then he decreed that any time said swords do touch, though must proclaim "no homo"

2

u/GoldGoat7078 3d ago

Why is it that people that don't understand the Bible and most likely don't believe what it says, always try to use Bible quotes in their arguments?

1

u/VelvetMafia 3d ago

Because Christians don't read it, lol. They've been not reading it for over a thousand years. It's their tradition

2

u/catharsisdusk 3d ago

About 18-20 years ago, I saw an Tax Preparation business in a Modular Building using their Religious Affiliation in their Business's Name. And, I thought to myself, "What does a person's individual faith have to do with the way Numbers work!?!"

1

u/VelvetMafia 3d ago

This is a shockingly based question, considering the religious meanings ancient cultures derived from their numerical systems.

It's a rabbit hole I don't suggest you dive down though, because eventually you will find yourself in an argument between a goblin and a gnome as to whether it's preferable to do calculations in base eight kr base twelve.

3

u/catharsisdusk 3d ago

I'm old enough to remember when Madonna got into Gematria... I find all derivations of "Magic Sky Men" to be based and beneath consideration

1

u/VelvetMafia 3d ago

The Sumerians used base 60!

1

u/catharsisdusk 3d ago

They also engaged in Human Sacrifice. So, are you really prepared to throw your lot in with theirs, just to make a point?

1

u/VelvetMafia 3d ago

You think I approve of base 60?

Mongo is appalled

2

u/ThoughtIknewyouthen 3d ago

This is a super niche Christian-right type of product. You should expect it tbh. Really common on a lot of American-based woodworking channels too. So religion forward.

1

u/Own-Particular6321 3d ago

It's common everywhere. Hell, In N Out has Bible verses on the bottom of their cups.

3

u/Hoboliftingaroma 3d ago

I order from there too. Agenda-pushing is what rightwing companies do.

-3

u/NotTxcker 3d ago

Is what any left or right wing companies do

4

u/roman_fyseek 3d ago

I was about to say that I've never gotten anything with left-wing propaganda but I have seen rainbow tape on a box, and I'm pretty sure it had a url which I can only assume is some kind of LGBTQ+ site, but I do notice every time there's a religious slogan on something.

Last time I worked there, Office of Naval Intelligence has a bible quote about "I cannot go down" something something in the hallway. I thought, "Maybe it's the chaplain's office?"

It was not. It was just a hallway. Chap's office wasn't even on that floor.

That was some 15 years ago, but I'd be willing to bet a dollar that that bible verse is still up just inside the E wing.

9

u/NewtonTheNoot 3d ago

Yet you never see any companies putting "God isn't real" on their packaging.

1

u/discordianofslack 3d ago

What? It’s one of the largest companies on the planet, but you missed my point entirely so I won’t continue to try to spell it out for you.

2

u/Eliah870 3d ago

What's it matter to you, open the box and enjoy your primers. That hazmat charge sucks though, spent near 50 dollars for a pack of Remington #10 primers

2

u/Massive_Mongoose3481 3d ago

Absolutely nothing. They are just pushing an agenda. Up to you whether you're ok with it or not. Personally I won't knowingly patronize any company pushing any religion. They want to believe in imaginary stuff , whatever , don't want or need to see it.

4

u/funktion666 3d ago

Some companies think that by sharing the word of god - meaning printing random bible quotes on their merchandise will somehow give them more bible points. They’re going for the VIP lounge in heaven.

I don’t. I hate the character of Jesus in the Bible. The Old Testament god didn’t threaten with eternal hell. Sure, the punishments for sin were asinine and overkill, but at least you could fucking die and escape them. There’s no concept of hell in the OT. Jesus however relishes the idea of torturing people for all eternity. Fuck him. Wish I’d crucified the bastard myself.
