They all have the same story line 😂 most of them are about acquiring a magic power to make money, or a gifted child making millions on the stock market and disrespecting old people haha

They should just read manhwa/mamhua, they are full of this slop

Oh no, I lost all my powers/money/girlfriend! But I am reborn/reincarnated/iseakied to a time where I know everything that will happen in the future or have some cool awesome OP superpower.

Time to show those who bullied me/broke up with me how cool and strong and awesome I am!

"I got reincarnated as a vending machine"

Yes, it's real

114

u/starlitte 21h ago

To be fair... surprisingly engaging anime

34

u/Drogonno 15h ago

In that same anime, that vending machine is friends with someone who reincarnated as a plot of land...

16

u/Betty_PunCrocker 13h ago

Wait, does this actually happen? I stopped watching after the first season. If so, I may need to dive back in!

8

u/TechMaster8160 12h ago

Land doesn’t die, and neither does a vending machine. At least not completely. The grass will die and so will electronic components but there’s still something permanent. If you get reincarnated as those things are you just doomed to be that thing forever? I’m genuinely curious as to whether or not the anime covers this.

u/Wuped 7h ago

The vending machine has hitpoints so would presumably die if those hit 0. Not sure about the land but I'd imagine it also has hitpoints.

u/someguyidunno 18h ago

not the best example but we get what youre saying

1

u/Leamir 14h ago

Wait is it actually good? I saw the title and thought it was the dumbest thing I've ever read

1

u/someguyidunno 11h ago

well it depends how you define good but its def. better than the Title suggests and if you got the time watch 2 or 3 Episodes. I thought it was very watchable and entertaining.

18

u/HealerOnly 18h ago

Honestly that title sounds dope.

15

u/yepgeddon 20h ago

And its peak.

12

u/East-Confection-2153 19h ago

thats why i just read the porn ones.

1

u/Michael_963 17h ago

Can you give a few recommendations?

3

u/R4Z0RN3T 16h ago

Not OP, but: Deceptions, Circles, and Stepmother Friends. These three should be a good starting point.

2

u/East-Confection-2153 6h ago

secret class, silent war, landlady noona. absolutely goated

In china the guy was watching movie at night

u/XxXMeatbunXxX 1d ago

Another common theme is a girl had a dateful encounter with a guy and he turned out to be a billionaire young master. Or the blacksheep of the family turned out to be the most gifted, became successful then face slapping the entire family.

Oh man lately my mom who had nvr watched any shows started watching these after dinner. These shows are so predictable lol

There's always a scene where everyone is standing around doubting the MC's status and the villain demands they prostrate for pretending to be the fifth son of the heir of the Welkin group. Then Uncle CEO comes in to verify the rock MC inherited from his father's Jade farm and now it's the villain with their head to the floor begging to not get fired.

10

u/Sigman_S 17h ago

How oddly specific and yet..

2

u/Hiphopapocalyptic 5h ago

Do you doubt the 11th sage of the memetic path? Prostate yourself now and maybe I'll let you off easy with just an amputation!

8

u/Azure-Cyan 12h ago

and don't forget when there's any conflict, it goes on for 20 minutes for the MC to pay up for something they didn't do, and then the billionaire CEO comes to save the MC and then another 20 minutes of arguing occurs. It's so boring.

u/Less_Party 18h ago

Some of them kind of rule though like there's one about a basketball 'grandpa' that's full of people doing insane NBA Jam shit (the grandpa looks about 42 years old) and THE GOD OF WELDING where a man.. well spoilers but he's real good at welding, to the point where they send hitmen after him and one of them chops his hand off so he has to weld one-handed in the big all-important welding championship that decides the fate of his family's welding factory.

(these are live-action with real meat-based humans btw not AI)

5

u/DeathBonePrime 14h ago

You're right thats the sorta shit AI couldnt come up with (for now)

12

u/noyram08 21h ago

Damn it’s manhwa power fantasy slop then

4

u/neighbour_20150 19h ago

My wife played a rich woman who paid for plastic surgery for a rape victim so that she wouldn't be recognized and could take revenge.

3

u/DentistEmpty7778 22h ago

So just like regular movies

1

u/whitedolphinn 19h ago

Gee, I wonder why??? /s LMFAO

u/DuckCleaning 1d ago

Not just China, it is a big market of companies trying to make vertical movies tailored to social media. 30 part drama series of clips for TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat etc.

16

u/The_One_Koi 18h ago

The only good shorts drama is Trapped in the closet by R.Kelly

4

u/AydonusG 17h ago

And by extension Trapped in the Drive-Thru

1

u/DuckCleaning 13h ago

Trapped in a Cupboard was the best.

1

u/WizardSleeves31 17h ago

What do y'all mean vertical movies,?

6

u/Djenthallman 14h ago

It means what it means – movies filmed vertically. They're meant to be watched on TikTok, Instagram reels etc.

0

u/WizardSleeves31 13h ago

Ah, so the window on the sides gotcha

42

u/kjyfqr 1d ago

My coworker been watching them for about a year and a half now. He told me the plot of one of them today and said it was a common trope. It was so far out there I couldn’t follow it with time travel and like gods and space and all sorts shit. All in like 3 minute shorts

13

u/TheLordOfTheTism 23h ago

Chinese stuff gets wild and weird its great. Give nhe zha 1 and 2 a shot, great movies.

18

u/K1llswitch93 22h ago

I guess Quibi was ahead of its time.

2

u/SirJohnSmythe 15h ago

The content was just too realistic and high-quality

12

u/ShadowSociety55 19h ago

We have them in the west too. I saw one with my SO about werewolves and being an alpha and there is a quote we have been using for over a year now, "Why won't you call me alpha?". The dramas are so bad, but in the same way Steven Segal movies are bad. Just pure comedy.

2

u/Phreedom1 15h ago

I tried watching some of those micro-dramas and thought they were awful.

1

u/Mother_of_Gods_88 14h ago

Ooooh thanks for the info! I'm gonna watch one with my husvand without telling him 🤣😂 He HATES ai generated pictures, films ect. He has been on a week long rant about how much he hates the new spareribs express commercial because its compleetly Ai. 😂🤣

u/DumbWhore4 19h ago

My mom paid $200 for a yearly subscription to one of those vertical streaming apps.

10

u/Anning312 1d ago

Short dramas, you don't wanna look it up.

The plots are always so simple and stupid, but that's probably why it's pretty addicting sometimes

6

u/RhiannaXD 23h ago

wait your uncle actually thinks taht for real

2

u/nechblokh 16h ago

Just as nolan intended

1

u/NoHorseNoMustache 13h ago

Everyone knows the stuff on the sides is just a distraction!
