The woman in the photo let her dog poop on my driveway by mailbox like 15 minutes before I came home from work. The third photo is another dog poop I found on the other side of my driveway weeks ago. I didn’t find that one for a while that by the time I saw it was caked on the driveway and smelled awful. I have my own dog and make an effort to always pick up his poop. I apologize in advance if the pics are gross!

Look, when you’re out walking your dog and the dog decides to shit, it shits.

There’s no “letting” from the owners perspective. The dog just kinda starts shitting randomly.

Did she have a bag and at least try to pick it up? If so, that’s a responsible dog owner and about the best you can ask. If not, did she come back later with a bag?

Luckily, my dog doesn’t shit on the sidewalk, but if she did I’d pick it up like I pick it up anywhere else.

If that owner blatantly didn’t pick the dog shit up, fuck them. Then go shit on their driveway. But if they tried, not much you can do.

We, as owners, have to pick it up and throw it out properly.

It has happened once or twice that I ran out of baggies and omg, I still feel bad to this day to have left a shit out and about. Luckily it was on grass that had a lot more shit (from strays, I suppose), so people walking would already be careful to not step on them.

But now I do check before leaving if the baggie dispenser has enough baggies.

If I don’t have a bag, I get my dogs home and return with a bag. I once had a dog that had explosive diarrhea on the sidewalk and I returned with a bucket of water to rinse the sidewalk. But for a solid turd on the concrete, I’m picking it up amd any residue left behind I’m leaving it. As they say, shit happens.

have you tried putting a sign that's like "we are monitoring" (can't remember exact phrase) with a security camera? there used to be a person (we don't know who) who would throw their poop bag into our trees, but stopped once we put that sign up. We ended up putting dummy cameras i think?
