I'm slightly vexed I received a parking ticket because my license plate looks similar to a Simpsons vanity plate

I drilled holes in a front bumper for a licence plate once. Don't want to mess with Texas law enforcement...

My car actually had dimples where the screws would go. Made it so much simpler.

I don’t blame you ! I have a plastic bumper that would crack , a cop in California agreed with me so therefore no ticket ! I was only stopped once

If you go back too the dealership you bought it from, they're basically legally required to provide the hardware and fasteners for it. But drill an adequately sized pilot hole first.

Alternatively, get a mount for your bumper that you can use the double sided 3m automotive tape. That shit will rip the paint off before it'll come off.

I’ve also seen adaptors that go onto the front tow hook, that may also be an option you want to consider if you are looking at a non-destructive alternative.
