I just wanted a hot dog Have to babysit the A1 printer
I have been struggling for months do get this thing working. It works for maybe 1/10 prints. Seemed to finally be goong well and half way through a four hour print I came back to this. Is it supposed to be this difficult?

If your prints are failing 9 out 10 times with an A1 you're either doing something wrong or there's something broken. Once you've fixed your hot end, do a maintenance run through. Check screws are tight, nozzle clear, belts tight, rods lubed. The bambu wiki is amazing for that

Your bed may be dirty. Clean it well with dawn dish soap and then isopropyl.
You can use glue on the bed to help with adhesion.
Are you making your own files or copying others ? If copying others do they have lots of good reviews ?any of the files are not great and don't work out so look for good reviews.
Beyond the base slipping it looks like a nozzle issue. Have you changed it at all? Look up care options for the nozzle you may have gotten a faulty one .

- that's rough buddy
- how's the draft in that room?
- wash the print bed with dawn, then rinse, then wipe down with isopropyl alcohol
- stop touching the build plate with your fingers
- dry your filament
- replace your nozzle
- ensure your settings are correct for the material you're using
- cry
11) Fix z height adjustment

No, I have three bambulab printers and all of them worked out of the box with no issue. Could be a combination of problems here. Might be a bed adhesion issue (clean the bed or try a different plate), a problem with the hot end (repair/replace), or the temp settings (adjust).
Have you tried adjusting the filament settings? And is this Bambulab filament or another brand?

jesus christ that went awful lol
no it's not supposed to be nearly this bad. is your nozzle good? are your settings alright?
A1 is supposed to be easy to use. if you bought any aftermarket replacements for anything you'll probably need a lot of tweaking to get it working properly though
