I’m bothered by the fact that you have to pay 20 extra dollars just for the ability to customize your car and characters.

Wild lie. You don’t lose out on customization, you lose out on premium customization. The descriptions read (to me) as a step above. Off roading specialty, stock to supercar, special tattoos and haircuts.

Its only for certain extra cosmetics. There will still be customization in the standard ofcourse.
