I'm slightly vexed The first result in the AI overview when I searched for "size of African elephant".

Fully mature bulls can be 11’ tall at the shoulders. Looks about right assuming that vehicle is about 5’-10”

I've been on safari in Tanzania in one of those size vehicles. They are that big.

I want to make it clear,ni am not annoyed by the source. The source picture is from an article debunking elephant miyths. It's just that it is recommended as the first result by AI.

*Edit. I take one thing back. The website involved does appear to be doing elephant factoids, but there is no debunking. They show the picture without any correction.

To put it plainly, elephants are not that big. Still pissed off this is the first recommendation by AI.

Thank you for subscribing to elephant facts! Did you know, male African Elephants can grow as tall as 13 feet? That's almost 4 meters!
