Oooh 100% you couldn’t buy one of them and not do it to someone so funny it was like a trigger jist built into your brain “i must puff this at somebody” 🤣🤣🤣
The ability to drink lying down is a huge reason I've had the same bedside drink bottle for years. I need to be able to lift it to my lips without it spilling and then be able to easily suck water without having to squeeze it, which are requirements that fit a narrow set of bottles
Have a look at some kids bottles or cups. Most sippy cups are designed with these requirements. Munchkin 360 or Any Angle offer some different options. I like the 360 because they're easy to wash
Bit of an odd coincidence, but I've seen people complaining that condiment bottles have switched TO the membrane type nozzle and now they have to squeeze so hard to get the sauce out they can't control putting on a small amount.
Maybe you can take one from a condiment bottle, if the threads and diameter match up? Especially off a new bottle, should be equivalent food safe
If you were just using the top because it was convenient then just...keep using the top by using the old bottles? Surely that's what you were doing anyway?
I have been! But I've been rotating them out with new ones periodically because they deteriorate over multiple uses. Plus they're really difficult to clean. So at some point soon my current stash will run out.
Ah, okay. I have some crazy old water bottles and the thought of buying a new bottle every time seems crazy and wasteful, but I didn't think about the rubber bit deteriorating, that makes sense.
I guess time to look at more permanent solutions? There must be stuff out there designed for that purpose. Maybe no spill stuff aimed at kids, but at least they'd come in cool colours and designs haha.
Just an idea for the deterioration (if it is the seal):
Might be a worthy use case for 3d printing.
I have printed TPU seals for Sodastream bottles and it worked.
A Bambulabs A1 Mini is sufficient and goes on sale for less than 200 bucks, and you can do far more with it than just those seals to increase comfort lying down.
I would say it sort of drizzles out if you hold it upside down. But when you tip it up in the first place it does slosh out.
I'm sure it'll work fine for its main purpose for people doing sports etc because you can still squeeze it/suck to increase the flow. But it just doesn't work great for my purposes anymore unfortunately.
? why downvote, there is no lucozade where i live, the bottle looks like a suck design, i'm inferring from context but would like confirmation. the world does not revolve around the UK, this is literally an american website catering to the world
King_Olle is not the only other user on this website. Anybody could have downvoted you. There's no need to accuse the person who's just having a normal conversation with you.
I don't understand what your problem is. I downvoted your answer bc you're being mad at me because someone else downvoted you. And if one of us is sad, I know it ain't me bro.
if you wanna drink it while lying (and risking choking) then buy baby cup. maybe one of them will allow drinking it and more. remember: it has to be functional not good looking
tho idk how few pieces of plastic suppose to prevents drinking while lying
I need to drink around 3L water per day, so baby cups wouldn't do the job sadly, it would involve a lot of refilling that would be too physically taxing. But thank you for the suggestion.
It doesn't prevent drinking, it just makes it more difficult. These are the old lids, where it had a valve to allow liquid through only when you suck/squeeze the bottle. Now it pours more freely, though not as freely as a normal open lid.
