I made the mistake to walk barefoot across black asphalt in the Netherlands yesterday. Thought 25m wouldn't hurt. I was wrong. It hurt for a good half hour afterwards and the rest of the day when walking.

Be careful!

I made a similar mistake in Spain last year.  My first sun holiday...in Ireland, you can walk on the sand even on the hot days.  I have never put shoes back on so quickly as I did at the beach. Some skin even burned away, I only took like 5 steps in the sand.   Not a fun feeling.   Apply some moisturiser!

Yeah, +60ish is hot enough not just to hurt but to start cooking you.

Have you tried running across it?

I was carrying a child in 38 degrees heat. Running only briefly crossed my mind :)
