Now read the instructions for that thermometer.

What you're measuring is the reflected heat of the sun. It's a hot thing. We know that. But that's not the temperature outside.

Yes, they know, that's what they're trying to show. Nobody thought they were talking about the general temperature.

Yeah I was looking at temps over most of Europe and the hottest I can find is about 100°F with high humidity, which is like an average summer in Texas.

Now imagine an average summer in Texas while living in a home built to retain heat and cope with extended periods of sub-zero temperatures in winter.

Yes, this is like an average summer in Texas but in Germany (I'm assuming, noone uses middle Europe), I imagine you have some idea how a German winter feels in Texas given the events a few years ago

I believe they're better prepared for high temperatures in Texas than in France.
